I was very appalled at my favorite restaurant this year upon arriving early we had to wait for our seating. Yes we had reservations. Server comes Very nice very friendly takes our order which was sparkling water and shrimp. Calibria for an appetizer we received crème brûlée for an appetizer with a dirty fork. I ordered a ribeye medium. It came beyond overcooked the carrots on the salmon dish completely raw cold & hard......a salad with no salt or pepper ,dressing....the servers move so fast your unable to even say excuse me may I please have this that the other nor do they ask you is everything on your plate OK is there anything I can grab you before I go? the knives are taken away from the table being that we had some to use something to cut the bread THAT WAS IT FOR MR!!!! My steak came the server forgot to bring out new knives he didn't return to The table well over 10-15 minutes...so yeah, I didn't have a knife for my steak and by the time I did to get one the steak was cold so 200 bucks down the drain remind you I haven't even mentioned what happened on my birthday back in April at the Sacramento location I'm highly disappointed I'm upset and I feel people need to slow down regardless of how under pressure and busy you are. These are expensive meals. People saved to dine in places like this. My little rant is over. It's just really upsetting

Food was good. Steak was amazing, we had ribeye 16oz boneless. It was probably one of the best i had. Our waitress was great a loving person. The reason my rate is low, i was there feb 15 for my girl birthday/valentines day dinner. I have 3 restaurants and been in the business over 15 years, the place was half full, they literally sat me down to table that would be the last table to be sit, small and like on the road kinda feeling, we were two i thought they were busy and didn’t wanna ask for different table since im in the business i was easy going but then restaurant never got too full, and other parties like us got seated in a better tables and much comfortable. Overall i didn’t feel comfortable during my dinner, good food but probably wont be back.

This was very difficult to rate any place this low, especially with a name like mortons, but I have to be honest. From the moment we walked in it was one thing after another. We couldn't get seated, and the bar had no real organization. We finally got a spot at the bar and couldn't get not 1 bartender or server to even greet us and offer drinks and a menu. After having to call out to anyone behind the bar for a half hour, we finally got water. If I wasn't persistent we would have sat there an hour without help I'm sure. When we finally got a servers attention we ordered everything without even seeing a menu just to get something to eat. We ordered steaks and baked potatoes, but we received mashed potatoes instead that were so hot that I burned my mouth on the first bite, they had to have been microwaved to get that hot. It took another 30 minutes to get someone's attention to bring us what we ordered. No one ever asked how the food was or to even refill the drinks we ordered. I notice that any person sitting at the bar had to yell to servers to get any help or to even pay? Mortons has a name to hold up to, and sadly it only seems to be living on its name and not its level of quality and service, and I think that's sad to say about its great history and name. I know this place can do way better, but it needs a better system and better organization to bring it back to its prime we all expect from Mortons. I hope my review start a revival, and returns to the way it used to be!!

Date: February 6, 2026 I came to Morton’s as a regular guest, expecting a high-quality dining experience, but unfortunately, it was very disappointing. I arrived around 9:25 PM and ordered an espresso martini, which was served. After that, I placed my food order at approximately 9:40PM. However, my food was completely forgotten. I waited over 50 minutes without receiving my meal. By the time it was close to 11:00 PM, I still had no food, and I had to leave hungry. I only ordered one drink, and I couldn’t even finish it because I was waiting to enjoy it with my meal—which never arrived. I spoke with a manager about the situation, and the only solution offered was a discount. While I appreciate the gesture, a discount does not make up for waiting almost an hour with no food and leaving the restaurant hungry. I came to Morton’s for the first time to try it out and see what the experience was like, but this visit did not meet expectations at all. Forgetting a guest’s food and allowing them to wait that long is unacceptable, especially for a restaurant of this level. Unfortunately, this experience has left me very disappointed.

I visited Morton’s in San Francisco to celebrate my birthday, and while it was a solid meal, I left feeling like it didn't quite hit those high-end "fine dining" notes I was anticipating. Having experienced the Morton's locations in Chicago, I think my expectations were set a bit higher for the brand. The Food & Drink • Chicken Christopher: The crusted chicken was flavorful and well-prepared. • Au Gratin Potatoes: A classic side—cheesy and dependable. • The Bread: Always a highlight at Morton's; warm and fresh. • Espresso Martini: Well-balanced and a great way to kick off the night. • The Birthday Surprise: They were kind enough to surprise me with a complimentary birthday dessert, which was a very thoughtful touch and much appreciated! The Atmosphere & Service • Ambiance: The noise level was moderate—loud enough to feel lively, but not so loud that we couldn't talk. • Service: Our waitress provided average-to-good service. She was professional, though it didn't necessarily feel like the elevated, attentive service you'd expect at this price point. Overall Impression It was a good birthday experience overall, but it felt more like a standard upscale dinner than a true fine dining event. Coming from the Chicago area where the Morton's standard is quite high, I was hoping for just a little bit more "oomph" from the SF location. It's a decent choice, but it didn't quite exceed expectations.
