  I’ve been coming here for 25 years or more. The food has always been very good. Today we stopped at lunchtime really just to get off our feet and have a little something to eat. We both ordered the New England Clam Chowder and it was outstanding! Really, really good. We sat at the bar, enjoyed the great view, a glass of wine and the chowder. No wonder I keep coming back. You won’t be disappointed.

  While the food here was delicious and usually is. The service is not what it was. Our server was wonderful, she did everything right. Of the 4 high-end restaurants we visited this trip, McCormick’s was the only one who refused to acknowledge we had checked in ahead of our reservation and were sitting in their bar. We had to go back to the hostess station to “get checked in” again. And they were not very busy. Empty tables in abundance. We won’t be back again with so many other options available in San Francisco.

  The steak is always well prepared served as requested.

  We randomly came in to have a steak dinner it was nice to watch the sunset and the food was very good. The service was very nice too. We will come back to try different dishes.
