  My friends and I decided to come to mastro’s as one of our stops for the new years. As most of them live far apart so we wanted some place nice to go that we haven’t been to before, and I am honestly glad we chose this place as every thing here was just exquisite. I was worried that because of the new years celebration drinks and food might take some time to come but that was not the case as our two bartenders Diana and Monique made sure that all of us were being served with whatever we asked for with little to no delay. The atmosphere there was amazing with live performance as well it really made night feel all that more fun with celebrating going on in the city. I will definitely be coming here and bringing more friends and family for future visits as well.

  Our time at Mastro was truly incredible! Visiting back home from the east coast, I wanted to take my family out to a restaurant we had not been too and I was very happy we selected this location. I had the best espresso martinis while visiting this establishment and the bartenders Diana and Jose were making us laugh all night. The team really lifted the atmosphere and the food was fresh, delicious, and served very quickly from when we placed our orders. I would love to come back regularly while in town and hope to find a location on the east coast to relive this incredible first experience!

  Took the wife out for a Date here since my daughter recommended it. Food was ok for the price point. This is more of a I’ve been there place just to say you’ve eaten here instead of I’m there every week. Once seated service was great. But the Male hostess needs to go find a job somewhere else. Rude, and making a joke about how he had a 50-50 shot calling me Jesus after I’ve already checked in with the other hostess is way out of line. If I’m going to spend $400 for 2 it won’t be here. To the management is this ok to you.

  The food at Mastro’s San Francisco was very good, but unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired. My wife ordered vegetarian, and she was not treated with the same level of respect or attentiveness when asking about vegetarian options. It felt dismissive and uncomfortable, especially for a restaurant of this caliber. Additionally, our waiter, Aladin, charged me for truffle butter on my steak that I did not order. I only noticed it afterward, and it ultimately came out of his tip. I want to be very clear for future guests: carefully review your bill if you are served by him, as he may add items you didn’t request. Overall, the food lived up to expectations, but the service was questionable and inconsistent. For a premium dining experience, attention to detail, transparency, and respect for all guests, especially those with dietary preferences, should be a given. We are frequent Mastros diners so this was an unfortunate experience.

  Booked Mastro's for our wedding anniversary! Parking is easy as nearby is the Union Square parking lot, it's less than a block away. Walking in was beautiful, we were greeted by as hostess immediately and they knew we had a reservation for our anniversary. Upon being seated, the server reiterated and congratulated us for our anniversary. The server checked in on us several times with recommendations and general chitter chatter. We ordered the Fried Calamari which was flavorful and well done. We both had petite filets at medium rare and it was great. Afterwards, the manager stopped by with a slice of pie/cake with house made whip cream to congratulate us. Everything was like a flawless performance at Mastro's. Service and appreciation was amazing and really cement's Mastro's as place we would frequent again for special occasions. Highly recommended!
