  Terrible staff. I have been eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. for many years at different locations and have never been treated like this. My family and I asked for a table for 5 people. Two members of our group were using the restroom at the time. Since this restaurant does not have restrooms inside, they had to leave the immediate area. Even after explaining this, the staff refused to seat us unless every person was physically present. I asked to speak with the manager, who said this was an “unwritten rule.” There is no posted policy stating that all guests must be present to be seated, and expecting this while forcing customers to use restrooms outside is completely unreasonable. What made the situation worse was the attitude. When I said I would file a complaint, the staff member responded rudely with, “Do whatever you want.” This level of disrespect and lack of professionalism was shocking. The way we were treated was unacceptable and made my family feel unwelcome. This is not the level of service I expect from a place I have visited for many years in different countries.

  Avis assez mitigé. Nous avons mangé le 25 midi. L'accueil est le service était au top. La vue était juste magnifique on voyait les dauphins et les lions de mer. Le repas était excellent. Le menu enfant était servi dans un bateau ma fille à adoré elle a même eu le droit à des feutres. Nous y sommes retourné un soir nous avions réservé mais nous avons quand même du faire la queu avec ceux qui n'avaient pas réservé Le restaurant était plein, la qualité du service très moyenne, on a du a plusieurs reprises se déplacer. Le menu enfant était servi dans un coupelle en plastique son hamburger qui était excellent le 25 était tellement poivrée que mon enfant ne l'a pas mangé. Pas de feutres non plus. Je recommande quand même mais je trouve ça dommage que la qualité ne soit pas constante. Je recommande les crevettes cajun

  I asked them politely for a 8x table but since the party wasn’t complete we couldn’t enter. My dad is a diabetic and has hip problems and is using a cane therefore he can’t stand up without pain. I wanted to enter before so we could order, I’m the only one speaking English so the plan was to ask for their food in advance. So he didn’t have to wait as much as he did (around 35min) No one could help us. Well when he arrived table wasn’t ready, he stood there for 5 min in pain. “Our” table was dirty with dirty diahes on a chair as well. And here we are sitting with no one taking care of us. No food or drinks whatsoever . And then they charged us a “suggested 18% tip” I have restaurants that’s why I understand what can and can’t be done. First and last time coming here.

  We went to Bubba Gump after we saw the movie once again online. We knew we had to wait because it was saturday and a during the holidays there is more people.The wait was 45 minutes but the restaurantbis right on pier 39 so lots of places to visit while waiting. They texted us and we got in.It was truly fun to see the characters from the movie displayed all around the restaurant. We loved that to stop the waiter at the table We had to flip the sign from 'run forest run ' to 'stop Forest stop'. We were seated next to a window so we could also enjoy the outside. The customer service was great. They gave a themed coloring to my child which made him smile. The food was very yummy I ordered from their 30th anniversary menu the dipper. Which is a spicy shrimp soup , rice and garlic bread. My child ordered the pop corn shrimp which he loved because the container was a boat just like in the movie. We really loved the lively vibe. The prices were reasonable. Also after we left we took photos on forest bench and there was the chocolate box and all. I would say this one memory I will really cherish with my child.

  We visited this restaurant for lunch on July 20th, 2025. Although this happened half a year ago, the experience still makes me feel extremely uncomfortable. Being a Chinese myself, It was the first time I’ve ever felt been discriminated by a Chinese server. (I’ve lived 11 years in the US). On July 20th, I brought my parents to Bubba Gump during their visit to the United States. We were seated at an inside corner table with an ocean view. A Chinese female server was assigned to us. From the beginning, the service felt noticeably different. After seating us, the server did not offer any explanation of how the restaurant works, did not ask whether it was our first time dining there, and provided only minimal interaction. Feels that she didn’t want to even talk to us. For the benefit of doubts, I just assumed she was busy. Because no explanation was ever given, my mother — who was visiting the restaurant for the first time — did not know the red/blue table sign system and touched it. Instead of politely explaining the system at that point, the server harshly scolded my mother and ordered her not to touch it, showing no patience or basic courtesy. What made the situation especially upsetting was that a few minutes later, we clearly observed the same server providing a completely different level of service to a nearby newly arrived white table. She warmly asked if it was their first time, patiently explained the red/blue sign system in detail, and engaged with them in a friendly and respectful manner — exactly the explanation we were never given. Throughout the rest of the meal, her interaction with us remained minimal and purely transactional. Ironically, the only time the server became proactive was at the end of the meal, when she attempted to sell us a membership card. She suddenly started to talk a lot to sell. I rejected but she kept insisting. I insisted no. We still left a tip, but the experience left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. Bubba Gump is a well-known brand and we visit it in Cancun and Miami. and we expect all guests to be treated equally. This experience significantly damaged our impression of the restaurant, not because of the food, but because of the unequal treatment we received. This happened months ago, yet the experience still leaves us upset. No customer should feel dismissed or treated differently due to a lack of basic explanation and respect. On Christmas Day, when family memories resurface, this experience came back to me and prompted me to finally write this review.
