  I had such a great experience at Bluestone Lane Avery, and a big reason why was Chris. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. He made thoughtful recommendations, checked in at just the right times, and made sure everything came out perfectly. What really stood out was his energy professional, warm, and personable. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about creating a great experience for customers. It’s rare to find service that feels both efficient and authentic. If you stop by Bluestone Lane Avery, definitely ask for Chris. He’ll make your day better!

  Bluestone Lane Avery Café is one of my favorite neighborhood spots — the coffee is consistently excellent and the Aussie-inspired menu never disappoints. The space is bright, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed breakfast or quick meeting. Everything feels fresh and thoughtfully done. Chris runs it with such warmth and pride — you can truly feel it every time you walk in.

  Overall this place gets 5 stars for their very attentive management staff. Chris is not only welcoming, but there is no task too small for him. He goes above and beyond to make his customers feel like they are well taken care of. It’s a win-win for bluestone and for their guests.

  Best coffee in San Francisco! Big statement but I’ve been searching around having moved from Europe last year. If you like your coffee a little darker roasted and you’re not finding it - give this place a go. We’ve been a few times and breakfast is great! Some high protein options if your post work out and all round good menu choices. Food arrives quickly and really well presented. Chris has greeted us on each of our visits and is friendly and efficient as have all the other staff each time!

  Bluestone Lane Avery Café in FiDi is one of those polished, modern cafés I had been wanting to try, and overall the food was good. The soft chili scramble toast with salmon stood out. The scrambled eggs tasted fresh and well cooked, and the salmon was nicely balanced and not overly salty, which I really appreciated. That said, a couple of things felt off. When we walked in, the sign at the entrance said to wait for staff to seat us, but guests who arrived after us were allowed to pick tables on their own. That was confusing and took away a bit from the experience. The granola yogurt bowl was also disappointing. It had an overwhelming amount of granola and barely any yogurt, making it feel very dry, and we ended up leaving a lot of it unfinished. Improving the yogurt to granola ratio would make a big difference. Overall, it is a solid café with good food, but there is room for improvement in both service flow and a few menu details.
