I live across the street from my local store and have shopped here almost every single day for the past 5 years—sometimes more than once a day. This has been my go-to grocery store without question. That changes today. First, customers were charged 20¢ per plastic bag under the justification of reducing plastic waste. Fine—I accepted that, even if it felt like an added cost passed directly to shoppers. Then plastic bags were replaced with paper bags… but the 20¢ charge stayed. Frustrating, but I stuck with you. Now this week, the paper bags don’t even have handles. That completely defeats the purpose of a bag. Carrying groceries without handles—especially for regular shoppers—is incredibly inconvenient. In my case, it now means multiple trips back and forth from my car up three flights of stairs just to bring groceries inside. What used to be quick and easy is now a daily frustration. This feels like cost-cutting at the expense of your most loyal customers, while still charging a premium for a clearly downgraded product. After 5 years of near-daily shopping, I’ll be taking my business to one of the many other grocery stores nearby. I hope management seriously reconsiders this decision, because it’s a noticeable step backward in customer experience—and it’s costing you loyal customers like me.

- KSKaren SmithMar 13, 20261.0I happened to be standing outside the store and the manager decided to walk outside very aggressively to harass some young man trying to do his job. Rather than politely requesting him to leave he decided to shove his phone in the mans face and threaten legal action. The manager could have just asked him to leave. He instead decided to harass and provoke the man. This was very disrespectful and not a good look for the store. I recommend a less hostile approach next time when dealing with solicitors.
