I had Qdoba often when I was living in FL. It was quick, fresh, bang for your buck and kept me full.
Fast forward a decade later, I finally visit one on the west coast and happens to be in San Diego where I live.
It’s very similar to Chipotle in the way you order. Same concept. Except they offer more protein options like pulled pork, birria, and guacamole, queso is free. You pay according to your protein choice.
I got a bowl of flame grilled adobo chicken and loaded on a bunch toppings. You can double your protein for an extra $3.95.
Service was great and quick. More hot sauces by the soda.

The staff here are so nice! Like over the top nice and friendly and they’re just eager to go above and beyond whether you want your food, a specific way or If you need help with the soda machine or if you need the code for the bathroom. They are just super super nice.
The food is good too, of course. Qdoba never disappoints. But it’s the people that really make me want to come back here again and again.

It was my first time coming here they brought me in with their burrito day offer. It took 20 minutes to drive here but when I got here they were telling pick up orders that they are out of beans and rice. The guy who was ahead of me said he waited 45 minutes for his order to be ready. The kitchen was a big mess the dining room was a big mess. Every employee looked overwhelmed. So after witnessing all that I decided to cancel my order and they were very apologetic about it. I work in food service so I know rice and beans can carry over to the next day. It seems like the shift manager needs to be retrained so they can get their priorities straight and then manage the restaurant and team efficiently. They had to write down my name and order number on a piece of paper so they can refund me within 24 hours. Hopefully the refund won't take too long. But there should really be an option in the app to cancel the order. I probably won't come back anytime soon. Oh and I noticed an employee asked to use the restroom and the person she asked said she already took her break and denied her to go which seems really wrong and probably illegal.

I’ve always had good experiences at this location, which is why my visit today at the store was so disappointing.
My husband and I came in to order, and the manager (Maya) was already a bit rude while taking our order. She didn’t complete it properly and I had asked for sour cream on everything, and it was skipped. When I politely asked her to add it, she responded dismissively and told me to wait while she did something else, even though my order wasn’t finished.
At checkout, the cashier was very kind and helpful, but during that time, the manager began yelling at another employee in front of customers and even used inappropriate language. It made the whole environment uncomfortable and unprofessional.
Things escalated when the employee offered to warm my tortillas and he said he would brought them to my table which I DECLINED and said I would wait because I know they are busy nd the guy was so nice but the manager aggressively told him to stop helping me and do something else instead. She then told me I had to leave the counter and come back later to pick up my tortillas, which I did without any issue but the way she say it was so unprofessional!!!
After that, she approached my husband and misrepresented the situation, saying I was upset about not having my food brought to me and that they don’t do that kind of service which is unacceptable for her to approach my husband to said something completely untrue and about something I don’t even asked for. When I tried to calmly clarify things with her, she dismissed me, raised her voice, and told me not to bother her because she was “too busy.”
I also felt uncomfortable because it seemed like she treated me differently. As a hijabi woman, I couldn’t help but notice she was noticeably nicer to customers of her own background, which was very upsetting.
To make matters worse, another customer approached me outside and mentioned they had noticed the same behavior, describing her as rude and unprofessional.
I understand that working in a busy environment can be stressful, but there’s no excuse for speaking to employees and customers this way. This experience was shocking and very disappointing, especially since I’ve had good experiences here before.

I got the 3 cheese nachos in my order, and instead of getting me thr medium sized bag for the chips, I received the small bag. And instead of correcting the mistake and apologizing, the woman at the register gave me attitude stating that its a bowl and it get the small bag. I reiterated that it was nachos but I was met with more rudeness and attitude. She gave me the medium bag after a bit og back and forth. I get that it's a promotion day and it gets busy but she was very rude and not friendly at all.
