  Take a date! Take a friend! Hell, go alone if you want! This place is the most perfect convergence of awesome things all mingled into one: A lounge, a bar, an awesome restaurant, a relaxing poolside hangout, a motel, a theater, a California-to-the-core vibe, a wonderfully comfy and swanky mid-century gem, suitable for young and old alike. And best of all. it's NOT pretentious! To me, this is the sort of place that truly gives San Diego its well warranted identity.

  Such a cool and unique setting for dinner! The menu is very old-school Americana with dishes like pickle dip and chicken kiev that are all delicious. The service was the standout, though. The host took our order since our waitress was busy (never seen that before!) and at one point when we'd finished our drinks, 3 separate people asked if we wanted another. Also, because our entrees took what they determined to be a long time (I hadn't even noticed a delay), they comped both! Highly recommend checking out this spot

  Went here for a friend's birthday, a party of 8. The staff was super friendly and professional, all dressed in a general vintage look, which added to the atmosphere. The only drawback was a trivia night happening, which, as mildly appealing as it was, impeded our conversations. The food was pretty good, could maybe use a little improving. The prices were a bit high for the sized portion you got. But I think what you're going there for is the atmosphere which was gorgeous. I will definitely return. Overall, nothing really bad to say about it. I enjoyed it and would recommend it to people wanting to try a new place.

  Got some oysters, the wedge salad, corn bread, tuna casserole, and prime rib. Corn bread was exceptional! Both the Tuna casserole and oysters rock were not good
