  Come from Chicago and my friend and I decided to stop by here after the farmers market and the experience was amazing food was also amazing! Got myself a matcha and it was sooo good! Best matcha I’ve had thus far in San Diego!!

  Two visits - the first was great. Awesome gelato and fantastic drinks. Asked for a dry cappuccino and got lots of foam some milk. Next day for breakfast ordered the same - order had dry on it. Received a latte - indistinguishable from my husband's latte. Went back for the cappucino dry, received another latte although it had some more foam. Went back in a third time and I think the owner? said "I dont know how to make it" Let him know the staff did a great job with it the previous night - went to Lofty down the street who did it right.

  We went here 3 times during our trip! Because we were craving for gelatos! They were really good! They were light and not too sweet! Will definitely go back here again the next time I visit!

  Food is good, prices steep. The thumping music inside and out is not enjoyable. Offering a side with a small 16 dollar sandwich as if it is included (do you want soup, salad or fruit with that?) when its another 5 bucks for a tiny cup of fruit or a handful of spring mix is not great. $10 for an affogato seems pretty steep. I didn't order one but I can imagine it looks alot like a 7 dollar affogato at other places. The whole operation just came off as pretentious and was bummed when we walked through little Italy after lunch and saw so many better options that we should have gone for. Hilariously walked by the place again on my way out of little italy and saw two people eating there with the same disappointed look we had on our faces an hour earlier. They speak Italian tho and that was cool.

  This is a very, very authentic Italian Cafe in San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood! I had an extremely good panini and cappuccino this morning. Reminds me of my trips to Italy!! Very simple, complete, and delicious menu items. Gelato to die for! A different vibe than the "normal" (boring) cafe I usually find when travelling. Get a REAL taste of Italy....go to Pappalecco. You'll love it.
