Truly a 10/10 experience through and through from the moment you walk in, the amazing bread, best crab cakes I’ve ever had and the local catch of the day was sooo good on the fried rice! Thank you for making our date night in San Diego one to remember!

Waiter Ismael was great from there start. Four plus an infant. He was on top of everything and as we were celebrating a birthday, gave us time and space to actually enjoy our evening. The food was terrific. Thanks Ismael and your team.

This place is an absolutely favorite of ours when we are in town! This restaurant is so special to us and we make it a point to stop in every single time. This time we stopped for our anniversary and it was beautiful! The views are amazing! Staff are always so on top of it, and the food is delicious. I would 10/10 recommend anyone who wants amazing food with an amazing view to come here. We will be back as always!

Start to finish:
There’s virtually no parking they have 90% of it sectioned off so you have to do valet, came out to $15
Got seated immediately, no wait. They put you tucked in the corner if you don’t ask for window seating.
Server walks you through the menu.
We ordered the tomahawk steak that’s 40 oz. But half of it is the weight of the bone. It had some pieces that were completely fatty and not worth eating so your 40 oz turns into 15 oz.
Our friends filet ordered at medium rare had to send back cause it was medium well. They got another one out rather quickly to him.
They gave us a Mudpie (either for the filet issue or cause we were celebrating their engagement). Half of us never ate it but the girls said it needed to be thawed more as it was solid.
We split the bill per couple since our friends didn’t drink. Each couple had a gift card. The waiter used my gift card on their tab along with their gift card. This could have been an accident so I won’t say the servers name but I think he was trying to leave our bill higher for a higher tip since they had a lesser bill and an issue with the filet. He didn’t come back right away and I didn’t notice it until after signing so my friend just Venmo me $50 but I also had already tipped on the extra $50. This was roughly an extra $10 I spent on tip.
There’s also a 5% service fee to keep their menu prices down that totaled $13.
So at the end I felt I unnecessarily paid $15 to park, $10 waiter mistake, $13 service fee = $38, almost my entire gift card.
Best part was the martini and bread. Spent $300 for 2 which isn’t crazy but I expect to feel like it was worth it after that and I didn’t.

We've been to Island Prime many times over the years and decided to go last night for our anniversary. The staff was great, but we were really disappointed in the food. The starter was very good just a simple prawn cocktail, but the filet mignon wasn't tender in the least. I ordered a side of béarnaise sauce as something different but it was cold and fairly tasteless. We haven't been to Island Prime since 2019 and found the lobster mac and cheese is no longer on the menu, so we tried the pork belly version - ok nothing special. The Brussel sprouts were just ok. Very small wine selection and found the King Estate pinot noir to be nothing I'd buy again. I'm really surprised by the meal. It was just ok for spending nearly $300. View was great as always and wonderful customer service (Enrique was great), but the kitchen needs to improve their game.
