I placed an online order through the Wendy’s app and went to pick it up, only to be told that they had given my order to someone else. Mistakes happen, but when I asked them to simply remake the order, the staff refused. Instead, they repeatedly told me to “contact corporate for a refund” because they had already given my food away. What made the situation even worse was the attitude of the employee named Maria. Rather than taking responsibility or trying to fix their mistake, she treated us as if we were inconveniencing her. Eventually, she ignored us completely and walked away to the back, refusing to deal with the problem. This is absolutely unacceptable. A restaurant should stand behind its service and correct errors on the spot, not push customers away with dismissive behavior. Wendy’s corporate needs to seriously review how this location is being managed, because the lack of accountability and basic customer service here is appalling.
