First the security guard asked me what I was doing there ..my response was I planned to shop but had a question for customer service: he said oh I can't help you. Before I could say anything to anyone else a young black male and I'm only labelling him as black because he had no name tag on for the stores reference came rushing up to me being me I need to leave my back pack at the door or leave. I said excuse me are you going to watch my belongings he said no it was not his responsibility and I needed to leave if I wasn't taking it off. In this time I saw 4 woman with purses larger then my back pack walk in and they were not told to take them off or leave them at the door so I feel like I was directly discriminated against andi fully plan on seeking the advice from an attorney about bringing suit for discrimination against the location and the specific employee who felt the need to publicly humiliate me. I will ever set foot in a Vons again but I want to ensure that nobody else faces this kind of humiliation again. I am a city dweller we all carry back packs how else are you supposed to get things around on pubic transportation. Maybe your employees need to do their job instead of policing each person based on appearance. Be prepared to hear from an attorney in the next few days.

I was provided to me by a program for women that are fleeing domestic violence. When I was done and ready to check out.There was nobody at the register.Misty came over and helped me out.She greeted me with a smile and was very kind.When she was finished ringing me up, the bill was $141.00 and I apologized, and said, by any chance.Can you take off some items?I only have a hundred dollar gift card . Miss dee replies honey, don't worry about it. It's on me. I'm going to go ahead, and do you a favor today? She did not know my situation. She was just being a lovely employee with a good heart. I told her thank you that we appreciated it.My kids and myself and walked out the bonds in tears . I had the program lady waiting for me in the parking lot to show her the. Receipt for the gift card that I had just used. She had asked me what was wrong. And I simply explained to her what had just happened. We both looked at each other in shock and said, faith who knows all I know Is that me and my kids We're very grateful for miss dee and how she went above and beyond to make the customer extremely happy. Blessed her heart and thank you to vons for having Miss dee she deserves a management position.
- WSWilliam StrattonOct 18, 20251.0this is for many reasons i think the worst grocery store i’ve ever been to. and it’s the closest one to me so im stuck going kinda often. i wish theyd get rotten fruit and onions (I’ve never been anywhere with so many bad onions) off the shelf, keep staples in stock (theyre always out of oatmeal and greek yogurt?), and open more registers when it’s packed. i leave mad every time i go. and it’s expensive, not helped by them recently ending digital coupons.
