After scanning my items I asked for assistance so I could split my payment. My total was $29, and I waved down Olivia asking if I could charge $20 on my Apple Cash and the rest on my other card. I greeted her with a smile even, and as she walked over she noticed before I did that my son dropped 3 tiny little crackers from his snack bag. Rather that approaching us warmly and acknowledging my request, she said “your son is dropping all his candy and is going to cause someone to slip. You should hold his snacks for him” in a really judgemental tone. She picked up the few crackers and then proceeded to say she cannot split card payments which I know is not true. She claimed it has to be a different form of payment like cash and card. The whole experience threw me for a loop because it’s so difficult to get out of the house let alone shop with a toddler. I was of course apologetic for the TINY mess he made but she seemed way more worried about lecturing me and telling me what I should be doing as a parent than helping me with my checkout. Frustrated with my experience and just told her it’s fine and just paid and left. It’s not what she said it’s how she went about saying it. The other ladies here are so kind especially toward the kiddos. Olivia is not
