I always go to a register but today the line was super long and I had only 8 items so I decided to go to the self check out. Once there all four machines were being used, one by me. Upon scanning my items I don’t see any bags so I pause and ask if they have bags and the large Hispanic lady says “you didn’t scan the chicken” mind you I only scanned two out of my eight items so far!! I was simply asking a question and when I said “i know i still have more times to scan im asking a question” her response was “yeah but you didn’t scan the chicken, you need to scan it” as i stated previously I still had SIX more times to scan and was simply asking a question and was being accused of trying to steal a pack of chicken. Then her coworker came over while I’m still checking out and they’re gossiping about our interaction while I’m still standing there! Completely unprofessional and rude behavior I work customer service and would never speak or accuse someone of stealing without seeing it first hand for certain! On top of that once checking out she comes over and plays the video 8 TIMES to check if I was stealing! Ridiculous! Idk if it’s because I’m a biracial women of color but this is the second time the same employee has either watched me in the store or accused me of something. She needs a training video on customer service and how to deal with situations because that wasnt okay at all!

I let the black dude finish his stocking.... rather then helping me real quick he goes into the cooler.... 15 minutes later still hasn't left the cooler so I just leave grab a drink and go to a different store where I know I will get the help I need. I have worked meat department in La Jolla Vons for 5 years..... I was trained to take care of who is at the display case before finishing the rest of my duties.... I'm not sure if this guy has a issue with helping customers or isn't trained right.... but management needs to have a talk with him because I refuse to get meat then that employee is clocked in.
