My boyfriend shopped at the Hillcrest Pavilions tonight and felt racially profiled. From the security to the cashiers, all staff were extremely rude and made him feel unwelcome. Very disappointing.

This local Hillcrest market I have been going to along time, but I will say it’s not all that great, I have seen expired meat for sale, Insrted noticing when I bought expired hot dogs and did not pay attention to the dates , when I got home I went bact to the store and showed the manager and he laughed and said to get another, I did and mentioned a lot of the packs are expired but he seemed uninterested, I have bought grapes and strawberries and get home and see they are white with mold. Constant price switching, two weeks ago I bought organic strawberries for $6.98 each, this week they are $9.99 each? The Pharmacy is terrible at times, I have been in line with 7 people and yet there are 5 employees in the pharmacy not even caring to help with the line, I asked the clerk once ai had my turn why this happens often, she said she tells them but they do what they want. Maybe I should drive down to Ralph’s 🤔

White Woman wearing mask, working self checkout at 540p on 11/07/25, needs to be trained better or not work in retail if she can't even respond to customers professionally.
Never felt more uncomfortable at a store in my life as a POC.
Really weird, unprofessional and prissy grocery store employees

The place had gone down the hill, right down Mission Hills lol when this store had converted into Pavillions. Absolutely horrible salads and everything in deli department. Only reasons I shopped here was because of their salads and prepared meals , now there is no reason to overpay for anything when Ralph’s is cheaper .
