My ceaser salad was like soggy Cole slaw. You can't have prices THAT high and then not to perform your very best! Ya know? We're expected to pay these higher prices since the pandemic and, with no reason what so everarea STILL expected to pay out these prices even tho everything is back to normal. The VERY LEAST Outback could do to pay is customers back for being loyal is quality food! At the very least!
Unhappy customer,

We had an amazing dining experience at Outback thanks to our server, Ian. he was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. His professionalism and friendly personality truly elevated our meal.
Outback is lucky to have him! We’ll definitely be requesting Ian next time we dine in.

I just wanted to thank the staff for their professionalism and hospitality on Veterans Day. Despite being absolutely slammed the entire staff made everyone feel welcome and were attentive to folks needs. No one got upset at the people coming in for the free promo and everyone was exceptionally courteous.
My server Ethan was outstanding and really did a great job taking care of a ton of tables. Thank you for your support of the community!

A Clairemont Square staple for many years. This fair-to-middling steakhouse sits squat in the middle of the Square, like a slightly red-glowing beacon in the San Diego dusk. All jokey commentary aside—it’s not bad, not at all. The best? Not that either, but let’s get into the meat of this review already, no pun intended.
For the price, Outback Steakhouse is pretty solid. The filet mignon, baked potato, chicken sandwich, and cheeseburger are all pretty solid here! You gotta love the complimentary rye bread and butter, too. The flavor and cook on everything is consistent, and definitely a slight notch above average.
That said, this is a franchise chain and obviously they aren’t pumping out the top-tier level of steak that you might find at a place like Cowboy Star or Freddy’s Chophouse. But it’s good for the price, like I said.
The service is also consistently really good here. The wait staff and bartenders are all very friendly, welcoming, and show just the right amount of attention—helpful without being overbearing.
If you’re looking for a quick, good, decently priced meat-forward meal, Outback Steakhouse might be a good option for you.

What a profound disappointment. We go there rarely but usually have a nice meal albeit a bit pricy. Our most recent visit was terrible. The server was nice enough, but the food was not nice at all. The Blooming Onion came out dripping in grease and was room temperature. It tasted like it looked - awful. We ordered steak - nice ones too - to the tune of about $30-$35 each. When they arrived, mine was about 1/2 in thick, almost raw on one end and overcooked on the other. As with the others, it was at least 50% fat! The whole meal was barely edible and had we not been trying to celebrate a birthday and wanting a smooth evening, we would have returned the food or left - it was that bad.
This location is not a great one. It looks run down and the interior is tired - very tired. After sitting there for a while I also noticed that it was just not as clean as it used to be. It used to be kind of a classy place, sparkling clean with energy. Now it is showing its deferred maintenance and questionable cleaning regiments.
Needless to say, we will not be back. Their quality of food has dropped significantly, and the preparation was remarkably poor. The news has not been good for Outback - lots of locations closing - and now we know why. I do not recommend this Outback and advise you to spend your hard-earned money elsewhere as they do not deserve it.
