This was at the La Jolla branch, sat at the bar, ordered the Tuesday meal for me and my son, it comes with 2 salads, 2 sides, 2 deserts, asked the bar tender to substitute the 2 deserts with 2 sides, he refused, though they have done it there several times before at same location, also at other locations in Scottsdale AZ, and Las Vegas, So he went to ask the general manager for the approval, he came back with an un professional response, in order to substitute they would cut it to one side instead of getting two, it felt like bargaining with a street vendor, not Fleming’s. Got so upset left the beer with one sip only, asked for the bill, which was $7.54 regretting tipping $ 5 and finishing my drink. Drove to Fleming’s San Diego had the the same meal with substituting the two deserts for two sides, every body was happy. As a businessman myself I find the GM making the wrong call and losing a customer for good, while the restaurant was 10% occupied.
P.s/ one thing I need to mention Fleming’s has the best food & service, the missing star are due to bar tender and manager, wish them success.
