The food was amazing, the calamari’s aftertaste was amazing and the tacos and enchiladas were perfect. The lasagna was a bit more cheesy than I would like but still good. The view was amazing especially if you are watching the sunset and really gets cool at night.
People say this Mexican restaurant offers delicious dishes, including the fundido, calamari, and enchiladas, and the drinks are well-made. They also highlight the amazing views of the city and harbor, the fun and vibrant atmosphere, and the attentive service. It's great for fun or to celebrate 26 years of marriage. Its a win win!

We made reservations for very special Valentines date this coming weekend. We chose a Valentines package that was very clear on expectations and menu items. Today we received a call from them going over those options, expectations and prices again, and I realize that I had clicked an option that I didn't mean to. We chose outdoor seating with some limited visibility. Truthfully, we just booked too late, even though it was a week in advance, but one of the managers named Chelsea talk to me through what the night was going to look like and set the expectations in such a 5 Star Way. Without me asking she was anticipating some of my concerns about visibility and volunteered to take photos of the area from multiple angles. She emailed me the photos and also followed through with a video. Her excellence, attention to detail and anticipation of expectation was world class. She also was so clear and kind in the way she communicated and even the way she offered to cancel and extend my cancellation time. If for any reason the accommodations were not suitable to our expectations. These are the type of people that make businesses excel. These are the type of people I hope to hire in my companies. Looking forward to our special night this Valentine's Day. Chelsea, thank you for your excellence!

If you like spicy this is the place for you! The enchiladas had a great flavor but were too spicy for me! Tried my friends mahi mahi tacos, they were delicious but also with some spice. The fig salad was absolutely fabulous though! I would skip the bread pudding. No one at the table liked it. It was really dry and needed some sort of sauce. But the view was stunning and the drinks were good! I would say a good date spot for the view but where we were we could barely hear each other the music was so loud.
TLDR: Read the fine print of added 5% to your bill and dont order the Ceasar Salad.
Did you know just south of the border of San Diego is Tijuana, the birthplace of Caesar salad? If you go to the original restaurant, they serve you a whole heart of romaine, meticulously dressed and layered with Parmigiano and anchovy dressing that they whipped up "a la mesa" in front of you. It is a wonderful experience that you would hope translated well north of the border when ordering Coasterra's take on a Mexican-fusion Caesar Salad. I ate a whole heart of romaine, unpeeled, cut in half and sprinkled with pumpkin seeds, 2 croutons, cotija cheese and a drizzle of basil infused dressing. It was cold and tasted like nearly frozen vegetables youve left at the back end of your crisper drawer in the refrigerator. We had to ask for more dressing because all we were getting was frozen lettuce taste. The hilarious part was watching a couple a table across from us receive the same order and have the exact same reactions as us... leading to asking the server for more dressing to make this $14 salad feel somewhat worth the money. SAD! I really hope the chefs take this in and improve what should be a very simple and delicious dish. At the very least, peel the damn romaine heart and dress it 🙈🙈🙈
Other than that - the wagyu burger was delicious and the main reason why this review got bumped up a star, along with the view of the full moon city skyline and the heated patio. Special shout outs to the very friendly staff as well.
I will also mention that if you don't read the fine print of the menu, there is a 5% additional charge added to your menu for "rising costs". If you don't catch it, you won't know you have the opportunity to opt out of spending what is actually going towards a major restaurant corporation. (Not a small local business and not as additional tips towards their sweet staff FYI.)
