Also entschieden wir uns für Charleys Cheesesteaks. Der Cheesesteak selbst war überraschend gut: saftig, würzig und geschmacklich tatsächlich der beste unserer ganzen Reise. In puncto Sättigung bekommt man hier also genau das, was man erwartet – ein schnelles, herzhaftes Gericht, das den Hunger stillt. Abstriche muss man jedoch beim Drumherum machen. Das Ambiente ist eher zweckmäßig und lädt nicht unbedingt zum Verweilen ein. Noch störender war allerdings der Blick bei der Zubereitung: Der Käse kam direkt aus einer Kraft-Tüte. Das wirkt lieblos und passt nicht zum ansonsten wirklich leckeren Steak. Mit einem einfachen Scheiblettenkäse oder frischerem Käse hätte man das Ganze deutlich aufwerten können. Unterm Strich: Wer schnell etwas Gutes und Sättigendes braucht, ist hier nicht falsch. Aber Atmosphäre und die Art der Zubereitung nehmen dem Erlebnis einiges an Charme. Deshalb von uns solide 3 von 5 Sternen.

As soon as I got in line behind him the cashier rolled her eyes, quickly turned off the lights and gave me the dirtiest look and said we’re closed. I don’t like writing these reviews. I completely understand, I was in the fast food industry for years. You want to go home I get it but the way it was said and done was not okay. I hope she finds another job if she’s so miserable.
