  Lawanda and alec where phenomenal great customer service I usually go to the cava in Mission Valley witch is alao great but the atmosphere here is by far better the customer service. The lentils are fully cooked and the food is great 10 out of 10.

  The food is good, everything I get here is always delicious. But the customer service sucks, they always make you feel in the wrong whenever you point out they forgot something on your order or something wasn’t made right. They never excuse/apologize and they always pressure to an argument before an agreement or fixing the issue. This place would be better if their workers weren’t rude.

  Food here is always super fresh and tasty. Hands down my favorite place to get a quick meal that I know is good for me. Shout out to Ms. Lawanda who greeted me with the biggest smile. Helped me out and she gave me the best customer service! For a second I forgot I was even at a restaurant and thought I was at my family’s house🤍🙏🏼

  The food quality here is exceptional — easily a 5/5. It’s consistently good, flavorful, and clearly the main reason people keep coming back. From a product standpoint, they’re doing a lot right. Where things fall apart is the service and overall flow, and this has been consistent across both San Diego locations. The downtown spot on Union/Broadway is especially rough. The managers there come off abrasive and unfriendly, which sets the tone for the whole experience. The employees themselves are mostly fine, but the leadership style really shows — and not in a good way. Speed is another major issue. During rush hours, the lines move painfully slow. At the other location, I’m more understanding because a lot of customers are first-timers who want to sample everything, which naturally backs things up. Still, the end result is the same: you can have only six or seven people ahead of you and somehow end up waiting close to an hour. I get that new customers want to try things, but there has to be a better system. The food absolutely delivers, but the slow lines and poor management noticeably stunt the overall customer experience. Speed things up, tighten operations, and this place would be outstanding across the board.

  Had an amazing experience at CAVA in San Diego! The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you’re craving something healthy but satisfying. What really made the visit special, though, was the service. Melissa was absolutely fantastic—warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She took the time to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel very welcome. Customer service like that makes a huge difference. Will definitely be back!
