  The bread, the coffee and the pastrys are incredible! I specially recommend the roasted turkey sándwich with rosemary bread its just a great combination. Perfect spot for work or just a chat with family and friends. I promise, you wont regret it. They make you feel special and make you want come back.

  Having spent four years stationed in Point Loma, I’ve tried a lot of places around San Diego, and this café has consistently stood out. The first time I went was when my parents visited, and it quickly became one of those spots I keep coming back to when I’m in the area. The entire menu is excellent—fresh, consistent, and worth the stop. The breakfast sandwich is solid, and the bakery items are some of the best I’ve had in San Diego. I’d make the drive just for the food alone. I usually keep it simple—cinnamon rolls or scones for something sweet, and sandwiches when I want something more filling. This place delivers on both. The scones in particular stand out, and everything feels made with care rather than mass-produced. For sandwiches, you really can’t go wrong. My go-to choices are seasoned roast beef and Italian salami-style options when available—simple, well-balanced, and built on good bread. The staff is fast, efficient, and professional even when it’s busy. Service stays calm and organized during peak times, which makes a difference. On one visit, I noticed the manager, Dania, keeping everything running smoothly and handling things with ease. Overall, this is a reliable spot that consistently gets the basics right—quality food, good execution, and steady service. Highly recommend if you’re in the Liberty Station area.

  This review isn't about their cinnamon rolls which to this family have got to be the best, or one of the best, in SD. This is about their service which, with the pastries, will keep us coming back again and again. So, just got off the phone with their manager, Rosa, who answered 5 minutes before opening. Imagine how hectic that must've been 😓 See, yesterday I ordered four rolls. One in a separate box so it could be warmed there and then eaten asap. Two boxes were in the bag. Seemed right...until this morning when I opened up the second box to find only two rolls, one roll was missing. I don't live in the area, but visit con pane regularly, so didn't want this to become a thing (and, yes,I also need to check INSIDE boxes). Despite it sounding as busy as usual right before they opened, Rosa listened, got the order details, and even shared it was a chance to speak with team so service is dialed. And then as if that wasn't enough she offered us our roll next time we're in. Service above and beyond...especially nowadays! Thanks Rosa.

  Con Pane Rustic Breads & Cafe absolutely deserves 5 stars. The “thick bread slices” are no joke—they’re basically half a loaf, and the bread itself was incredible. Soft, fresh, and packed with flavor. Pairing it with both the strawberry and raspberry jam took it to another level. We also tried the hibiscus lemonade and the coffee con chocolate, and both were refreshing and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. You can really taste the difference in the coffee. This place is a must-visit if you appreciate great bread and quality drinks.
