I will NOT be eating here again. I deliver with Uber Eats on the side to support my kid by myself. I actually enjoy it, and I take pride in my work. I walked in today, like I’ve done a hundred times, to pick up a to-go order. The screen wasn’t showing anything, so I politely asked the blonde woman working the to-go counter about it. And in front of everybody standing there she goes, “Oh, you’re here with DoorTHIEF.” Not DoorDash… DoorTHIEF. (And I don’t even work for DoorDash, but whatever.) I was honestly shocked. I get that sometimes orders go missing or people have had bad experiences, but I am not one of those drivers, and that comment was completely out of pocket. I walked into a place of business to DO business, and instead I got talked to like I’m a thief or part of some low-class company. It was rude, embarrassing, and just plain uncalled for. I would NEVER talk down to someone for how they make their money. We’re all out here trying to survive. That employee didn’t have to be nasty like that. Do better, Panera. One mean apple really can spoil the whole bunch.
