  On January 4th, at around 7:00 p.m., while it was raining heavily, I went to the Safeway location near my home to work a few hours on the DoorDash app, as I usually do. Several orders came in back-to-back. Because the rain was very heavy, most DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers stopped working, but due to financial need — including upcoming rent and car insurance payments — I decided to continue working so I could support my family. After completing about four orders, I received a fifth one and went to pick it up. When I arrived, an employee angrily told me that I was late. I explained that I had just walked in from the parking area and showed my phone, which clearly indicated that there were still three minutes remaining before the order was scheduled to be ready. Despite this, the employee continued to speak harshly and said that whenever an order is from Safeway, drivers must arrive early and wait at the door, even if the order is not yet ready. I apologized politely and thanked him for the reminder. He then said “good night” in an upset tone, and I replied with a smile, “good night.” After that, he warned me that he would block my account so that I would never receive orders from any Safeway location again. I remained respectful and left. It has now been two days, and it appears that my account may actually have been restricted. I kindly request that this situation be reviewed, as this issue is preventing me from earning income to pay my rent and support my family during this difficult economic time. Thank you very much for your attention and assistance.

  Butcher counter pales in comparison to the Blue Oaks Safeway in both quality and customer service. 2 years ago, we got a fantastic cut of meat for some beef wellington. Figured new Safeway would be just as good. Wrong we were. Instead of getting the "center cuts" we custom ordered, we received end cuts. When we asked for help from someone behind the counter, they said we got what we asked for and we should have specified center cut for beef wellington. When we told them to look at the order, whoops, we got it wrong. Nothing we can or WILL do for you at this point besides say we don't have anything for you here. So, what did we do? My wife spent an hour of her time trimming nearly a full pound of fat from these. Seems pretty excessive for $25 per pound beef. As you can see from the order, we were explicit in the fact it was for beef wellington and how absolutely fatty these $90 pieces of beef were.

  This store is a bit exceptional in several ways. It is only a year old and was so very much needed in West Roseville. The store is large, well organized and usually very clean and well stocked. But, what stands out for me is the staff here. It doesn't matter what time I am here, morning or evening, the staff is always very properly dressed, friendly and exceptionally helpful. As I walk down the aisles they will almost always greet me with a smile and ask if I am finding what I am seeking. The staff at the registers are truly the best, especially the self-checkout, which I use exclusively, as they will come over to chat with me, and I see how they actively will help others with completing their checkout and then cleaning the readers and surrounding area. It makes this store a great experience to shop at.
