My total should have been around $7, but it rang up as $15. The cashier, whose name was ‘Faith’, insisted it was “sales tax on bottles,” even though the total was clearly the full price of all items. When I asked her to cancel the order, she called the manager and said “EXPLAIN,” as if I was the problem. The manager rescanned it and the price dropped by 50%, proving it was scanned wrong. Still no apology, and I later noticed I was still charged for the free bag. First time at this Safeway and definitely the last. Staff needs proper training.
