  Love this location. Well run! I did buy a cheesecake with a sell by date of 2/30 ! Curious. Friendly morning 🌞 cashier! I shop here whenever I am in the area.

  I am very disappointed with the level of customer service at the Safeway on Sierra College Boulevard in Roseville. This morning around 7:00 a.m., I stopped in quickly to grab a few breakfast items and some oatmeal because I wasn’t feeling well and needed something in my stomach before work. I went to the self-checkout area, but all of the machines were closed. There was only one checker open, and the two customers ahead of me had full carts of groceries. When I asked the checker if the self-checkouts were working, she said she “forgot to open them” and that someone had gone on break. This is a 24-hour store, and self-checkout is typically meant to help customers who are in a rush. Closing all of them because someone went on break doesn’t make sense and defeats the purpose. I ultimately had to set my items down and leave because I was going to be late for work. There was no sense of urgency or concern from the staff when I explained that. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated issue. I’ve had multiple negative experiences with the deli department as well. On several occasions, employees have stood behind the fryer area appearing too busy to help, not even acknowledging customers waiting for breakfast sandwiches. I’ve spoken to managers about this three or four times, yet the behavior continues. It feels like there is little accountability, and the staff often seem unconcerned and unfriendly. The only positive experience I’ve had recently was when I called the customer service desk. The woman who answered (I believe she said she was the bookkeeper) was polite, reassuring, and expressed that this is not the standard they want. I appreciated her professionalism. However, the consistent lack of attentiveness and customer care at this location is frustrating. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works on improving both staffing practices and overall customer service.

  The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, which makes grocery shopping a breeze. The selection is excellent, with fresh produce, quality meats, and a wide variety of everyday essentials. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always willing to answer questions or assist with finding items. Checkout was smooth and efficient, making the whole experience stress-free.
