My simple order of two bagel sandwiches took over 40 minutes. Forty minutes. For bagels. I’m convinced I could’ve walked to a wheat field, harvested the grain, milled the flour, baked my own bagels, and still beaten their production time. There was no assembly line, no system, and no sign that anyone felt responsible for anything beyond standing near the food. The lack of coordination was so impressive that I started wondering if the entire staff was participating in a social experiment on customer patience. At this point, Noah’s might want to give Ray Kroc a call—apparently he cracked the code on producing breakfast items in under the time it takes to cook a Thanksgiving turkey. To be clear: this isn’t about perfection. It’s about basic awareness, communication, and urgency. When customers are waiting 40 minutes for a sit-down-restaurant wait time on a counter-service bagel, something is deeply off. I hope management takes a hard look at operations here, because the team deserves guidance, and customers deserve better.
