However, setting aside basic economics, which found nearly a century ago that people buy more if the product isn't in a locked cabinet, if antihistamines cost $32.99 for a package of 60 tablets and baby formula costs $45.99, maybe that's a problem not with shoplifting but with price gouging. The criminals in that case are the companies not the consumers. The fact that I have to wait around for five minutes only to get annoyed and walk away because you don't have enough floor coverage is just one more clod on the heaping dung pile that is your business model. Do better.

Worst grocery shopping experience I’ve had in the last 20 years. Edit: So open more cash registers. Your response doesn't really mean anything because Its the same thing every time and your staff or manager HAS to be aware of it
