The best thing about this restaurant is the food. Authentic, generous servings, delicious (except the pork barbecue, it was bland and dry). We had the bicol express, crispy kare kare, aligue rice, and pork bbq.
Real talk - this is the 2nd time I've been in this restaurant. The first time, they forgot to give us one of our dessert orders, but it was included in the bill. It's a good thing we weren't in a hurry, and decided to just have the order in the restaurant instead of removing it from the bill.
The second time...omg. My friend arrived ahead of us, and he said he waited at the "please wait to be seated" area for 5 minutes. No one approached him so he walked to the counter and asked for a table. The restaurant was not full. When my group was complete, we waited about 10-15 minutes for someone to get our order. No one did, so I looked around and made eye contact with a staff who sent us a server. 30 mins for our food to arrive. It arrived staggered. We ordered 6 items. This time, we didn't get 2 of the 6 items: the sitaw and kalabasa dish, and the calamansi juice. I think it's kind of ridiculous. No one reviews the orders and makes sure the customer gets them? We didn't remind them of it anymore because it took too long to get our orders and we didn't want to wait anymore.
We ask for the bill TWICE. 15 mins in between. I don't even know why, they didn't need to print the receipt, they just had to come to our table with the portable POS system. The second time, they were like, here's your bill. We pointed out that we didn't get the two items, so we had to wait for another 5-10 mins for them to sort it out.
Really dampened the experience which is such a shame, because I'm telling you, the food is great! I'm hesitating to come back because of the service. Is there going to be a third time going there? I don't know, we'll see if my love for good food will overcome experiencing ineptitude in service.
