Sorry $4 and change wasn't enough for driving 6 minutes down the road. Kids these days man. So disrespectful. Work a construction job and you'll see how easy you have it at your little pizza one.
- DDDominic DFeb 7, 20264.0I hadn't eaten at Domino's in years, but having moved to Ventura County I found that people here don't seem to know anything about pizza, or think that pizza is such a great delicacy that you need to pay over $25 for it. The service was excellent and the staff all looked adorable in their clean In N' Out-style uniforms. The texture of my NY style pizza was also very good. Higher end pizzerias in the area seem to think pizza dough is meant to turn into a quiche crust or dried out tortilla. Most of the time the pizzas in this area have toppings that are flavorless, so they just throw hot spices on it to mask the cheapness of their toppings (eg. Pizza Twist). If you're going to pay for flavorless toppings, why not save money and buy Domino's? I did find, unfortunately, that Domino's pizza still smells disgusting and their tomato sauce still tastes like dog vomit...but at least it has a recognizable flavor other than just "mild" or "hot". I'm giving it 4/5 stars for the general Oxnard area for its value, and for successfully navigating a very basic understanding of what pizza crust is. I'd give it 1.5/5 for pizzas I've had throughout the world.
