I am so happy that this deli has opened in Pleasanton! I used to drive all the way to Danville for a sandwich of this quality. The bread, meat, and produce are all top-notch and incredibly fresh. Since it opened, I have been visiting weekly, along with most of my co-workers.

Delicious paninis! So far I’ve tried the Ruebenini, the BLT with added avocado, and the French Dip with roast beef. Ordering online is super convenient. Pickup at the register can be challenging with folks waiting around to pay and the staff too busy making sandwiches to check on those picking up to go. Early days yet, I imagine they’ll refine the checkout / pickup system as time goes on.

I've been seeing some of the recent low reviews for Domenico's Deli and honestly, they feel a bit harsh for a brand new location that's clearly still in its training phase. Opening a new spot with a full staff takes time, and I think it's fair to give them a little grace while they get fully into their rhythm. From my experience, I've always been greeted right away with a smile walking in, and the staff has been kind and welcoming every time. You can tell they're trying, and that goes a long way. Ok so the food!!! The sandwich special was so good, and the antipasto was just as delicious. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and worth coming back for! I'll absolutely be returning more and more. I'm so happy we finally have this in Pleasanton so I don't have to drive all the way to Danville anymore!

This is a review for the Pleasanton location. I know you all just opened and are working out the kinks but today I was standing in a line of about 4 people which wasn't moving, and as people came in line behind me we were all just sort of standing there and not one person acknowledged anyone in line. I understand people are working, but the thing that bothered me most was the owners were both there and one of them actually walked by the line, looked at everyone and said to one of the sandwich makers the line is getting pretty big... but still never acknowledged any of us standing and waiting for someone to help us. Its pretty basic courtesy to acknowledge people waiting in a line just a simple hello would have sufficed. About 15 minutes into standing there a young man came out of the back and HE was the only one who said "hi there everyone we will be right with you thank you so much for waiting!" That should have been done 15 minutes ago ESPECIALLY by the owners. On top of all that when I finally got to put in a very simple order of 1 turkey sandwich to go, I get my sandwich and its got the one produce item I asked NOT to have on the sandwich and the wrong meat. Im super bummed because this is one of my absolute favorite sandwich shops and was so excited to have one open up near by. Just food for thought, acknowledge your guests as we are the ones that keep you open!

Our office ordered sandwiches today for lunch. Paninis are surprisingly small, dry bread and very basic for price. I ate at the Danville location a few years ago and that sandwich was phenomenal. Will give this place another shot in the future and will try a cold sandwich next time.
