I have never received worse customer service at any fast food restaurant. As a busy mom with one kid who was hungry and another who I had to pick up shortly, I entered the McDonald's on N Lake Ave in Pasadena. I usually go through the drive through, but today I needed to wash my toddler's hands after a long day at the Rose Bowl and Kidspace, so we entered. After waiting in an almost empty restaurant for about 10 minutes at the register with no one coming over to assist us, the manager wearing a burgundy shirt finally came over. He was a larger man with a thick Spanish accent who initially spoke to me in Spanish. When I responded in English, as a Latin woman who was dressed down due to an active day with my toddler, his demeanor somewhat changed towards me. When I looked at my phone to show my coupon, I realized it had closed and no longer showed a code. When I mentioned the french fry code to the manager, he stated "you need to wait 15 minutes to use it." I was beside myself as I had already been ignored and waited for 10 minutes at the register in a nearly empty restaurant and was now being told to wait another 15 minutes to use the $1.49 large fries coupon that has always been honored in the drive through for similar circumstances. When I mentioned this fact, he just smirked and stated "you need to wait 15 minutes." As I needed to run and pick up my older son, I immediately told him we would no longer be ordering there and stated that they needed to have workers in the front helping customers at the register and not just in the back. Additionally, and it should be noted, I saw several workers, one in particular that looked to be a supervisor in a light blue dress shirt, who was talking, laughing, and gossiping with another male worker as I waited at the register during my initial 10 minute wait with my toddler who needed to use the bathroom (that needed a code) and was begging me for food. This supervisor in a blue shirt noticed me watching him, and he even stated "I'll be right with you," but disappeared into the back again. All workers were rude and seemed to only care or cater to the drive through patrons rather than the in-restaurant customers who were also waiting. I will not be returning to this location any time in the near future, which is a shame, because I usually used this drive through at least once a week. But, I refuse to give any money to an establishment that treats their customers like they don't matter.

Today I ordered a sausage egg Mcmuffin, a sausage McGriddle, and a bacon egg cheese biscuit from the McDonalds app. You would think it’s impossible for them to screw up an order from their own app, but this store continues to drop the ball, whether in person or on the app. Instead of the BEC biscuit, I was given an BEC McGriddle. My receipt literally has the correct order on it and they still can’t get it right. Why do these people making $20 an hour to make a sandwich not read their darn screens? Every visit from this location ends in disappointment, I shouldn’t have to do a deep dive to check my order cause your store refuses to read their orders properly. You instill doubt to the people you’re supposed to assure when feeding them, and give them EXACTLY WHAT WE ORDER, not cool!
