Fantastic Pasadena location with great ambience! Food was delicious and Jesse and his wife served us with pleasure and smiles which made the experience even more delightful. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

Loved the fusion twist here. The butter chicken slider were a hit, and the modern vibe in Pasadena is great for a night out. service was quick, though it got a bit loud for a Tuesday. Solid 4-star spot for creative flavor and a fun atmosphere
Really nice looking interior. Came on a Sunday before noon. There were no other customers and we had to call a few times until someone came to the front. Really good food. Samosas, naan, masala fries all very tasty. Give it a try if you like Indian fusion.
CdeC seems to have an identity issue - is it a restaurant with music and drinks or a music bar with food? I expected the first, since they're billed as "restaurant and wine bar" but they seem to be more the latter. We visited at 6 pm on a Saturday night - it was almost empty. The DJ was testing the sound for later in the evening, a little annoying. It's a nice room, lots of tables and booths, attractive bar, friendly owner. Service was good enough. But the food was really mediocre. Chicken tikka pizza crust was overcooked. Vegetable korma curry vegetables were huge undercooked chunks and the sauce was a basic tomato sauce lacking any complexity. In short, it's the kind of food you eat when you're drinking at a bar with friends and need to put something in your stomach. Not destination dining. I hope they can pull it together - either up the game on the food, or get a more detailed wine list and a liquor license so they can do talk cocktails instead of "mocktails". Good luck.
We were finally able to visit last night. The place is beautiful and service was impeccable. We were dazzled by the reviews so we were excited to be able to try the food. We look forward to giving this restaurant another chance at a later point, but our meal was very underwhelming. We ordered the Paneer Do Pyaza and it was ok, we'd never tried this sauce so it was interesting, but felt somewhat lacking in flavor. We also ordered the chicken sliders and while the sauce was remarkable, the chicken was noticeably undercooked, it was very pink. I never return anything to the kitchen but we had to ask the server to please ask the kitchen to grill the sliders a little more as undercooked chicken can be very dangerous. He said we would get a replacement and we thanked him for being attentive. When the replacement sliders came out, about 10 minutes later, the chicken was slightly better cooked, still undercooked for our liking but at least it wasn't pink anymore. But the replacement slider did not have the sauce now, which was the whole point. We hope this restaurant performs well, we are local business owners and have seen so many businesses disappear so we are rooting for Chak de California, it is absolutely beautiful and service is great, but the food needs to match the quality of the setting.
