Hugely disappointing lunch today. Despite two attempts the hamburger was grossly overcooked after being ordered as rare as possible. They only do medium. Fries cold. Pleasant waiter who had too many tables and snail like pace from the kitchen Three attempts to order Dijon mustard. Main course was removed from the bill and the complimentary cookie was delicious. A bad experience

The ambiance of the rooftop restaurant was beautiful. Joined a friend for lunch here and it didn’t disappoint. We started with cocktails and shared the Caesar salad and the lobster and caviar appetizer. The Caesar was a bit small but perfect to share. We then shared the double cheeseburger and truffle fries. Truffle fries were no joke. Highly recommend. We ended with the caramelized banana split and the chocolate chip cookies. Both were incredible. Our waiter brought over the crème brûlée as well as a gesture as the banana split was a bit late coming out so that was very generous.
The atmosphere was really beautiful. Super comfy chairs and cute tables. It was like sitting in an atrium. Very whimsical and open with a beautiful water fountain in the center of the room. The restaurant is on the third floor and I didn’t see an elevator so I climbed several flights of stairs which can be tough for some people. All in all a great experience with pretty decent food and great service with a knowledge and friendly staff.

Nailed the visual aspect, but failed the 'restaurant' portion of the experience entirely.
We were sat, ordered a glass of wine and a beer, which took more than 12 minutes to arrive at our table.
Ordered salads and dinner. Salads took at least 15 mins to arrive, despite some empty tables and staff standing around in various locations. Then, not 5 minutes into eating our salads, our entrees are brought, with limited table space to even accommodate.
Food was luke warm at best, not hot.
Overall, this place gets a D-. The management clearly has no idea how to run a restaurant, and the prices do not justify the lackluster experience.

From the moment we arrived, everything flowed smoothly, as we already had a reservation in place. The service was outstanding every member of the staff was genuinely kind, attentive, and welcoming.
Drinks arrived in under five minutes, appetizers followed in approximately twenty minutes, and the main course came shortly after, with another twenty-minute wait. The pacing felt well-organized and comfortable throughout the experience.
The food was truly delicious, standing out for its quality and flavor.
I sincerely look forward to returning very soon.

Extremely Disappointing Anniversary Experience – RH Rooftop Palo Alto
Restoration Hardware Rooftop in Palo Alto was supposed to be the place where we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, it became one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve ever had.
The evening started well—we were seated at a beautiful table, wished a happy anniversary, and given menus. From that moment on, everything went downhill.
When we attempted to order drinks to toast such a special occasion, we were repeatedly told that they had run out of nearly every specialty cocktail and multiple wines we requested. The explanation given was that they had “issues with their wine and liquor delivery.” For a restaurant of this caliber, especially one known for its rooftop ambiance, this was unacceptable.
Things got worse when we placed our food order. I clearly explained that I have dairy allergies. After checking with the kitchen, the waiter returned to tell me that they could not accommodate me at all, stating that their baguette is pre-marinated with butter and there were no alternative options. No effort, no solution, no flexibility.
We watched the waiter speaking with the manager for quite some time, yet nothing changed. No one came to offer alternatives or attempt to make things right.
At that point, my wife and I decided to leave. Before doing so, we spoke directly to the manager (with the waiter standing beside her) and explained how embarrassing and upsetting this experience was—especially given that we were there to celebrate a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. No wine to toast, no specialty drinks, and no ability to accommodate a basic food allergy.
Thankfully, we went to another restaurant in Palo Alto afterward and ended up having the best anniversary celebration, which made us realize just how avoidable this experience could have been.
Despite the beautiful setting, the service, preparedness, and lack of care completely ruined the experience. We will never return and would not recommend this restaurant for any special occasion.
