  This is the first time I have ever written a review, because I have honestly never had such a disappointing experience before. We had a reservation and arrived on time, yet we were not given our table and were left waiting without any proper explanation. The staff were rude and dismissive from the start. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt completely mistreated. The atmosphere tries to be elegant and sophisticated, but it comes across as pretentious and, frankly, quite ordinary. However, the worst part of the experience was the service. The attitude and lack of professionalism were unacceptable, and ultimately we decided to leave. It is unfortunate, as we had high expectations for RH Rooftop Restaurant at RH Palo Alto, but the treatment we received made it impossible to stay. I sincerely hope they improve their hospitality, because no guest should feel the way we did.

  Great ambiance. Food is good but service was a little slow from taking our first order (20 min after we sat down), slow in finding our waiter to even paying. Caviar is mediocre for the price.

  We arrived at 7:30 pm and placed our order shortly after. Our appetizer didn’t arrive until 8:00 pm, and then we waited another full hour for our main courses. During that entire time, no waiter checked in with us at all—no updates, no apologies, nothing. We only received our food after we finally had to complain. Unfortunately, the food itself was also below standard. The lamb chops were over-charred, extremely bitter, and inedible, and appeared to be drenched in oil, making the entire dish overly greasy. The grilled lobster was shockingly underwhelming: essentially a very small lobster with no sides, priced at $75, which felt completely unjustified. The lobster roll was equally disappointing—just a pile of shredded meat on top of a small bun that clearly wasn’t homemade. Between the excessive wait time, lack of service, and poor food quality, this was a very frustrating dining experience and not one we would recommend.

  We had several mediocre experiences, the last one was tonight where we didn’t get our food for 1.5 hours. We ended up leaving before ever getting fed. Team was apologetic explaining their kitchen is understaffed. A solution would have been to not accept customers if you cannot feed them. This is our last visit to RH. A great brand and a beautiful setting completely ruined by abysmal service and terrible experiences. Go elsewhere.

  My husband and I split the Caesar salad and a bottle of Robert Hall Cabernet Sauvignon (the cork had an RH printed on the top. Fitting.). I got the American petite baked potato as my entree and he got the petite filet. His steak was cooked perfectly and my potato was divine. Overall, a great meal in a beautiful location. I wish we would have taken more pictures!
