This is a place whose entire menu revolves around salads and sandwiches, yet somehow they managed to run out of one of the most basic, essential ingredients right in the middle of lunch—with a grocery store literally in the same parking lot. This isn’t a supply chain issue. It’s a management issue. Panera charges premium prices but can’t handle basic inventory? If you’re selling $15 salads, the bare minimum expectation is that you actually have lettuce. Doing nothing to fix it—no substitution, no quick run next door, no solution at all—is unacceptable. This location is constantly out of core ingredients, which tells you everything you need to know about how it’s run. Either plan better, manage better, or stop charging upscale prices for fast-casual incompetence. Embarrassing.
