This place has amazing food and people, fast and effective service. The fries and burgers are amazing! I left a written review at 9 years old here and the put it up on the wall. I returned to say I remember how kind the staff are here and even recall the speedy service!

We stopped in Palm Springs for a date shake, but it was time to eat, so we found this place nearby. The restaurant has multiple height levels, but the hostess found a place that my wheelchair-bound traveling companion could get in and out of easily. The food was delicious! The potatoes were not quite done the way I like them, but the half-chicken was deboned and cooked to perfection. I loved the lobster bisque and my companion loved the mixed green salad. I get the impression that $30 per person is pretty normal for Palm springs. They apologized for the wait at least five times over the course of the meal, though they really weren't that slow. One of the writers turned out to be from not too far from where we live! If you6viditubg palm springs, you're already splurging a bit, so why not get some great food while you're there?

My partner and I had such a bizarre experience here. We had a 9 p.m. reservation, and dinner service is until 10 p.m. Shortly after we were seated staff was very visibly shutting the place down for the night, blowing out candles on tables, etc. We ordered a drink and two appetizers, then our server disappeared. He didn’t return for us to order entrées until after the appetizers had already been brought out (and were almost finished). When he eventually came back I attempted to order an eggplant parmigiana. I asked if it came with pasta, which is not always the case. He said no, but then he would not allow me to order pasta with it. He said, direct quote, “We don’t have sides of pasta.” Yet there is a whole pasta section on the menu… I asked if he could request the kitchen to serve it with pasta, and he said no. I was told I could order a children’s pasta, with the note, “You’ll be charged full price for another entrée.” It was astounding. At that point I declined to continue the interaction, so we paid for the drink and appetizers and left. We walked a couple blocks over to Sammy G‘s and had a wonderful dinner. Although I enjoyed one of the appetizers we had, I strongly recommend skipping Lulu altogether!

First and last visit. First let me say my server was wonderful. But I came specifically for the cauliflower steak—the only vegetarian option on the Christmas menu—only to be told after I was seated that it was unavailable and would be “replaced with broccoli.” Broccoli is a side, not a substitution for a full entrée. What arrived was a sad pile of broccoli next to corn cake (polenta). The atmosphere was chaotic, the lights were blindingly bright, and for $70+ a plate (plus automatic 20% gratuity), the experience was incredibly disappointing. No effort was made to offer an alternative entrée A total miss for what should’ve been a special holiday meal.

This will be our family’s 3rd visit for the holiday menu! Twice in 2024 (Thanksgiving & Christmas) and this year for Christmas later today - and of which we’re definitely looking forward to, by snagging a reservation for several weeks ago. This place is highly recommended and never fails us on each category possible: food has been delicious, menu with a great variety and scrumptious selections, the service outstanding and the ambiance similar to a cruise! We love it!
