Sorry to say, the unpleasant host wanted to seat us in a corner by the bar, as she rudely put the menus down and walked away. We wanted to move to another table and she said I have no server there. You have to sit over the other side. And we didn't want to sit over on the other side cuz there was a family with a child and we wanted to have a nice comfortable meal. Then as my husband left I tried to talk to the hostess and she ignored me and I had to call her twice. Excuse me, excuse me. I said why can't we sit over here as she repeated herself. We have no server there. You sit over there that's where I tried to sit you and she was quite rude and so we left so bad experience from your hostess. Thank you very much. I will not be going there again. So no we didn't spend any money there because we had a grumpy rude hostess.

We had eaten at the San Marcos location on Friday night the 20th of February and it was very disappointing compared to the Palm Desert location. At San Marcos I had the onion soup that was salty and no onions, I ordered the New York steak medium rare and was served a nerve end. for 30 plus dollars a nerve end should be roasted and used for sandwiches not as an entree. the steak at San macros was cooked properly but very tough in quality. I had tried it at the Palm Desert store tonight and the onion soup wasn't salty and had onions in it and the New York Steak was cooked to correct temperature but very tender in quality. The service team in Palm Desert seem to work together and the service is always great. The service in San Marcos wasn't up to the same standard and making excuses on the food quality. I have been a frequent diner with outback for a very long time and its disappointing when you go to another location with not the same stands of food quality and service.

Our Valentines Day take out order was an overall disgrace. With the understanding of how busy it is on 2/14 we decided to order take out. We had to drive back after our desserts were not included in our bag they were apologetic and included an additional dessert. We drive back home only to realize that our medium well steaks were nearly raw and had to be cooked longer which completely defeated the purpose of going out, along with the fact that my steak and lobster dinner was missing my baked potato entirely so my husband gave me half of his but all of dressings for my loaded potato were included in the bag. We ordered Ribeye Steaks which is known to be a fattier cut however this steak was all fat the lowest quality steak I have ever had. Unfortunately this was not the first poor experience with Outback Steak House and was hoping for a more promising experience.

We are avid outback fans, we like the consistency and the solid value for quality meats and the unique sides like their fried mushrooms, I think they changed the name from bushman mushrooms to something else but theyre great, anyway. We have patrons outback many many times, here locally and all over. This one experience out skinned all other and not only was it primarily our incredible server Steve, but the food was overall the best versions of them we've had. The neat thing is, it almost felt like steve was solely responsible for our experience. The appetizer came out at the perfect time and delivered with confidence... like, he knows... steve knows hes the best and that their might be others as good but certainly no one better. At the same time hes extremely humble. He spoke to our daughter at her level, treated her with kindness and ensured she knows shes apart of the table... where has this guy been? I feel like every single server trainee needs to shadow steve to see what its about but its hard to teach the nuances that steve clearly understands and confidently conveys through his work. You know how some people are juat passionate about what they do and its clesr in their work, whatever it is... steve is it. Hes a beacon of light in the otherwise bleak food industry experiences in the past several years. Outback is on our radar for more frequent visits. I feel like I didnt even get to fully explain how even the people helping steve seemed to be excited to be helping him. The busser was clearly feeding off of Steve's expertise and energy. The chef prepared the perfect temp. Perfect sear sirloin (not my first choice but here, I enjoy it) reminding of what outback used to be 20 years ago. I could go on and on but the overall vibe, energy, energy of the team juat feels completely transformed since out last 10 visits or so. They weren't bad visits by any means but this feels like an entirely different place with an entirely different team. Thanks outback team and especially Steve for the insanely positive experience at all levels. See you soon!

We’ve been coming to this location for 10 years and never had such a great experience! The food was on point , but most outstanding was our server Steve! He was punctual, friendly with high energy that made our family dinner a great time. Thank you Steve!
