  First time at one of these and and we enjoyed it. One thing a little odd ... The bench seat was a bit low for the table.

  Ate here tonight with my partner while we were on vacation and the staff was incredible! Food was really good as well, I had the ribs and my partner had the BBQ ranch burger. Taylor our waiter was incredible and extremely nice! He let the manger know that it was our first time going and the manger came to our table to say hello. I thought it was also super cool that guests were able to bring dogs and that every dog got a bowl of water and they have meals specific for dogs. Partner also got the banana pudding and thought it was really good! Definitely recommend to anyone who is in the area and wants a nice place to eat without breaking the bank as well as wants a wonderful dining experience with some amazing staff!

  Serenity! If I can use one world to describe Lazy Dog in Oxnard is Serenity! We come here to celebrate the good times. But it is different when you need to escape the chaos and a “bad” day/week. Not only it is the confort food we seek, but it’s the atmosphere! Adam, our FAVORITE MANGER, always takes the time to stop by and say hello. We met him as a server and since then he was one of our favorites! Another favorite person is Josiah. His energy is so positive, it turns our frowns upside down and we leave this place feeling like we received the hug we needed for years. He wasn’t our server tonight, but he stopped and made us feel like we were family! And I cannot forget Kat and Viktor. Our server was awesome and took care of us. Viktor took his time to check in on us. Please come by Lazy Dog in Oxnard, when you are celebrating something, but more importantly, when you are not having a great day, you will leave feeling embraced!

  The service was really good and attentive, however the actual food and atmosphere was just another chain with a different paint job/decor and food obviously off the same truck that every other chain restaurant uses. Definitely NOT a reason to go to the disaster that The Collection is. Certainly not worth $90 for 2 people to eat- meat loaf, a burger, and one small appetizer with no cocktails? Lame

  Wife chose lazydog for lunch when we were shopping nearby. Not too crowded for lunch. Service was a bit slow. We chose to have lunch inside the restaurant at a nice booth. Seats in booth were well worn and we sunk down quite a bit. Wife ordered a cheeseburger. The burger was burnt and black, cheese wasn't melted..fries she said were just OK. She ate a few bites then said it wasn't edible. My shrimp tacos were mostly lettuce tacos with only 3 shrimp pieces. Tortillas were very hard and again overcooked. The rice was burnt and had burnt charred pieces throughout-probably bottom of the pan. Black beans were cold and few. The best item was the molten brownie which was served hot with vanilla ice cream. That was the only item that was edible. Atmosphere was ok. My wife mentioned she was very disappointed and not interested in returning. They do have an outdoor patio where you can sit with your dog and have a meal. We won't be returning as my wife hated the food. For the price and selection we are going elsewhere. Food has seriously declined.
