  After waiting 10 min in the drive thru and not moving, I left and went to the Dairy Queen in Courtice and was served immediately.

  We had a very disappointing experience with this Dairy Queen location, which is usually our go-to. While visiting another location when we were on the road, we placed a mobile order through the app to take advantage of a promotion. Unfortunately, the app defaulted to the last location we had visited (Whitby), and we didn’t catch it until immediately after placing the order. We called right away to try to cancel. The employee told us they couldn’t reverse the order—which, while frustrating, is understandable—but what was surprising was the lack of any effort to help resolve the situation. Instead, we were told (with attitude) that the order would still be made if we wanted to drive over to pick it up, and otherwise to “take it up with head office.” No alternative solution or goodwill gesture was offered. We did follow up with Dairy Queen Canada, who contacted the franchisee and advised us we’d hear from them within five business days. It’s now been over three weeks with no response. While the initial mistake was ours, the complete lack of customer service or accountability from this location was disappointing—especially as returning customers. Hopefully management takes situations like this more seriously in the future.

  I stopped by this Dairy Queen location on Wednesday to pick up a round ice cream cake for Easter Sunday that serves 8-10 people. The experience was excellent from start to finish. The store was clean, and the freezer was well stocked with plenty of options. The lady who assisted me was incredibly kind- She took the time to explain each cake option so I knew exactly what I was getting. She did a great job writing " Happy Easter" on the cake and even gave me some helpful advice: keep it in the freezer until we are ready for it and take it out about 10 minutes before serving so its easier to slice. We're all looking forward to that famous fudge and crunch center on Sunday! If you need a Holiday dessert and want great customer service in a clean , professional shop, this is the place to go.
