  2026.05.14 at 12:40pm ordered 3 takeout meals (spicy general Thai mango, pineapple and extra spicy Thai fried rice) for $70+. I got back to work and the meals were the blandest that I have ever tasted in the Thai express chain. I have been going to Thai express for years. The food was not spicy, no flavour! There were black particles in the meal ( wok pan metal pieces). Worst of all, I found a long brownish blonde hair strand in the Thai Mango meal. It felt so disgusting! I puked instantly and threw the 3plates of meal in the trash. The chefs need to wear a hair net and nose/ face mask when cooking. This is a good handling requirement in Canada. Ontario food inspectors must visit this location and I am personally sending an email to them with the picture proofs to request an investigation. Stay away from this location for multiple health reasons!

  While I was about to pay for my order, a screen popped up on the card machine and I was having trouble navigating it. The male worker taking my order was speaking to me in a way that was incomprehensible to understand which was confusing me even more. By the time I realized it was the tipping options, the male worker started pointing at one of the buttons and blatantly told me to “click 3” which was the clearest sentence he managed to say to me and which also was the highest tipping option. Out of nervousness of his demand I paid max tip for such poor service and had my confusion taken advantage of. Garbage servers, garbage service.

  A bit disappointed with this visit to Thai Express at Eaton Centre. About two weeks ago, the General Thai Beef at the Yorkdale location was fresh, flavorful, and very enjoyable, with a generous portion as well. This time, ordering the same dish at Eaton Centre was a very different experience. The beef pieces looked smashed and had black burnt marks on them. The taste was not as good, and the portion size was surprisingly small in comparison. Unfortunately, this visit did not have that same quality or experience.

  Ordered Pad Thai noodles and green curry with rice. Both dishes were put into flimsy plastic clamshell containers, even though I requested the cardboard Chinese takeout style containers. They leaked in the bag and the sauce got all over everything. They also didn't include any cutlery or chopsticks. $50 dollars for two small dishes and two drinks. Incredibly overpriced for the quality. I recall Thai Express being an inexpensive, quality option at mall food courts, but that was years ago. The quality has declined and the price has skyrocketed. I will never give them my business again.
