The Dufferin location is a great place to dine. We went to have a family meeting and it was the perfect atmosphere for this. It was quiet, and spacious and the food was great. Not only that, but our Server, Seble Yi, was incredible. She was polite, friendly, attentive and respectful.

We were four family members here for dinner. Seble was our waitress. We have been served by her for years. Seble has always been very friendly and an excellent waitress. She makes absolutely sure that each order is correct before putting it in to the kitchen. Her voice is gentle and kind. Although she is busy and responsible for other tables, we never feel rushed making our dining experience a pleasure at this location. Sincerely, Diana and family.

Consistently terrible food and unacceptable customer service. I strongly do NOT recommend this Swiss Chalet location. This location seems to be consistent in one thing: poor food quality and poor customer service. I have ordered from here repeatedly, and the food quality continues to be unacceptable. The wings and ribs are frequently burnt, dry, tasteless, and poorly prepared. Today was the final straw. I ordered a full rack of ribs and 10 wings (party pack). What I received was absolutely unacceptable. The ribs were dry, burnt, and cut into quarters instead of being provided as a full rack as ordered. The wings were also dry, burnt, and lacked flavour. I spent approximately $50–$60 on food that was essentially inedible. But the food was not even the worst part of the experience. The customer service was. I called the restaurant because I wanted to raise a legitimate concern about the quality of my order. I was not calling to argue, and I was not even demanding a refund. I simply wanted the restaurant to be aware of the problem because I have been a Swiss Chalet customer for years. Instead, the person who answered the phone was rude, dismissive, condescending, and extremely difficult to speak with. I was repeatedly interrupted, talked over, and at one point the person was essentially yelling over the phone. Rather than listening to the complaint and trying to understand the concern, the conversation became an exercise in blaming the customer. I was even told, in essence, that the problem was because I had not provided complete instructions. That argument is ridiculous when the Swiss Chalet app itself limits the number of characters and punctuation customers can use in the instruction box. Customers cannot be blamed for limitations built into the company's own ordering system. This is not what customer service should look like. When a customer spends $50–$60 on a meal and receives burnt, dry, tasteless food, the appropriate response is to listen, acknowledge the concern, and take responsibility for improving the experience, not interrupt the customer, speak condescendingly, raise your voice, and make the customer feel as though they are the problem. I am particularly disappointed because I have been ordering from Swiss Chalet for years. Unfortunately, the app often directs orders to the nearest location, so customers may not have the ability to choose a different restaurant. That needs to change. Customers should be able to select which location prepares their order, especially when there are locations that provide significantly better food and service. As a franchise location, this restaurant should be meeting the standards associated with the Swiss Chalet brand. This location is not. When customers repeatedly receive poor-quality food and then receive poor treatment when they complain, this is no longer just an isolated bad experience, it is a management and quality-control problem. Swiss Chalet corporate needs to seriously look into this location. There clearly needs to be better oversight, food-quality standards, and customer-service training. The individual who handled my call today particularly needs training in Customer Service 101, professional communication, and basic listening skills. Interrupting, talking over, yelling at, and blaming a customer is not acceptable customer service. And to be very clear: this review is about this specific location. I have had better experiences at other Swiss Chalet locations, and I do not want the poor performance of this restaurant to unfairly represent the entire brand. As for me, I am done ordering from this location. I have given it enough chances. A company cannot expect customers to continue spending their hard-earned money at a restaurant that consistently delivers poor-quality food and then treats those same customers poorly when they speak up. Bad food is one thing. Bad food combined with disrespectful customer service is unacceptable. Swiss Chalet needs to address this location before its poor performance starts damaging the reputation of the brand as a whole.

Possibly the worst food service I’ve ever experienced in my LIFE. Waited at the front, for more than 10 minutes, was not acknowledged by a single worker. There was a sign at the front that someone had written “worst service ever” and another one that said “you just lost a customer” and I have to say I THIRD THAT. Because I just upped and left when it became clear to me that they do not care for their customers. Worst service ever.

I haven’t been to Swiss Chalet in a while, so I decided to come with a friend, and I’m glad I did! We had a great experience from start to finish. Dantaevia was so sweet, kind, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The food was great, and I had no complaints at all. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
