Huge bad change with ordering kiosks!
3 people working and a big back log because it looks like one was flex to work just to teach people how to use the kiosk.
Took WAY longer to order.
With 3 guests here, 1 eating, what I’m guessing were 2 subs for a uber eats order, my sub took 14 minutes from approaching that station to sitting down to eat.
The staff did the absolute best they could (walked in at approx 2:30 pm (off peak lunch). And with the additional steps and time they were oscillating between idle and overwhelmed. My regards to them!
Way better the old way where you ordered and watched your sandwich being made - which I did as I asked for customizations.
Save the upfront capital for the kiosk and pay for an extra human to be on site.
I can’t imagine what it would be like during a busy time!
I saw another guest be asked to sit down and wait for their order to be called. I would recommend not trying to be a restaurant and fast food. Pick one and do it well. If you’re bad at both and do neither well, no one will return.
As a subway app member for years, I used to frequent the restaurant at least 1-2x/week but will not be going to any more that I see with a kiosk - walking straight out.
Nevermind the prices seem to increase every few months!
If the kiosks were to cut costs, the upfront should be absorbed by corporate as a loss leader considering the prices and a decrease in service.
Enjoy the decreased market share if things don’t change! At least the food was as good as when it was cheaper and faster!
Also, probably not great to put a security camera right by the QR code so management can see who is scanning, leaving reviews and probably trying to line up the time and date stamps. Doesn’t encourage the best feedback for those who notice!

Wouldn’t allow to use washroom and insisted a purchase must be made first. Sorry for wanting to wash my hands before eating. You clearly don’t appreciate business. ✌️

I've had subs here before however this morning I got one for my lunch. My sub was not toasted (as I requested) but the bread was stale when I had my lunch. I was so disappointed as every bite was filled with stale bread. There is a reason why I dont get toasted... so the bread is soft. The staff at this time didn't double wrap my sandwich which gave me vibe like she was in a rush or just didn't care. No bag either, I had to ask for one and bag it. Just not satisfied with today's service.. there's $10 for a mediocre stale sandwich. A wrapped sandwich does not get stale over 3 hrs. Its wrapped! I think this bread was from yesterday 😕

I had a really disappointing experience at this Subway location. The employee seemed far more focused on preparing Uber Eats orders than helping customers who were physically in the store. She told me to use the machine to order when she could have just put the uber order aside to help me. Terrible customer service.
