Onion soup was super salty. Mashed potatoes was cold. Steak wasn’t seasoned we had to put loads of salt & pepper. Lobster was put in a small plastic cup on a side, dry and rubbery and not at all buttery. Plus the server didnt check on us, didnt ask “ how was everything” even when we asked for the bill. Told him the onion soup was salty, didnt bother to offer us sth different.
Went for Mother's Day with my girlfriend and my mom. Food was good when we actually got it. Wait time was bad but it was busy for mothers day. But all three orders we got were wrong. I asked for Surf and Turf only received the steak. My mom ordered the Salmon with shrimp added, but received no shrimp (and when it came, no seasoning). My girlfriend ordered the fiesta bowl with no beans, the order came with beans.
My girlfriend had to watch us eat and almost finish our meals before she got her replacement meal. All they did to offer for getting all meals wrong and for making my girlfriend wait a very long time for her meal was a slice of cheesecake. Wasn't worth a Mother's Day dinner here and probably won't be returning ever. Which sucks because we used to love Pickle Barrel but that experience was enough to never go back.
Sarah provided outstanding service during our company event. She managed the entire group on her own with very little support, yet remained professional, organized, and attentive throughout the evening. Despite handling everything herself, she made sure everyone was taken care of quickly and with a positive attitude. Her hard work, friendliness, and dedication truly made the event enjoyable for all of us. Thank you, Sarah, for going above and beyond, your excellent service did not go unnoticed!

Went to Pickle Barrel at Yorkdale Mall on Mother’s Day with my husband and our three daughters. We were told the wait would be 1 hour, which we understood. After about 30 minutes, we noticed several empty tables and politely asked the host if any were available.
I completely understand restaurants are busy and that empty tables do not always mean immediate seating. That was never the issue. The problem was the attitude and the way we were spoken to.
When I explained that I was only asking because I had three children with me, the host responded by saying: “You have no priority or special treatment because you have three kids.” I never asked for special treatment, nor did I try to skip the line. I was simply asking a question politely.
When I questioned why he was speaking to me with attitude, he offered to call the manager and said “this discussion is not going anywhere.” At that point, the whole experience already felt uncomfortable and hostile, especially on Mother’s Day, so we decided to leave.
Very disappointing experience. A little kindness and professionalism would have made a huge difference.
Unfortunately, after the interaction with the host, we no longer felt comfortable staying and decided to leave without dining there.
Happy mother’s day!!!!

I came to The Pickle Barrel at Yorkdale today by myself and I honestly have to take a moment to recognize my server, Leny, because she truly made the experience.
Dining alone can sometimes feel a bit awkward, but from the moment she greeted me, she made me feel completely comfortable and welcome. Her energy was warm, genuine, and not forced at all you can tell she actually cares.
Since it wasn’t too busy, we had a bit of conversation here and there, and she was actually really funny too. We ended up joking a bit about me working with kids and that end-of-the-week energy, and she had a couple of comments that genuinely made me laugh. It just felt natural and easy, not like she was trying too hard or just making small talk.
She was also very attentive in the best way checking in at the right times, making sure everything was exactly how I wanted it, and keeping everything running smoothly without hovering.
What stood out the most was her overall vibe. She brought such a positive, calm energy that made the whole visit enjoyable. It didn’t feel like I was just another customer, I actually felt taken care of.
Pickle Barrel Yorkdale is lucky to have her. Leny is the kind of server who makes people want to come back, not just for the food, but for the experience.
I really hope management recognizes her, because service like that doesn’t go unnoticed.
Shout out to LENY thank you so much for today you are truly great server and very happy that I was able to be served by you.
