We had such a wonderful experience at The Pickle Barrel in Yorkdale, and a big part of that was thanks to Leny! She was incredibly warm, attentive, and professional from the moment we were seated. Beyond the great service, she was an absolute vibe—so jovial, full of positive energy, and in such good spirits. Her cheerful personality made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. She checked in at just the right times, made sure everything was perfect, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It’s rare to come across someone who serves with so much kindness and enthusiasm. Thank you, Leny, for making our visit so memorable. We’ll definitely be back and hope to be served by you again! My Name is Dr. E and I say Yeeeeaaaasss To Leny 🤗🥰🫶🏾

Held a retirement party here for our manager for a party of 48. Our servers were Luke and Noah who were both fantastic. They both did their best to ensure we all received our meals in a timely manner. And both were very friendly and professional. Planning the event with Sarah from their marketing department was a breeze. She was very responsive with all my questions via email. They allowed us to come in an hour early to set up all our decor. The manager Frank came by to make sure we had everything we needed to set up our event properly. Food was pretty decent for our large group. I got the pan seared atlantic salmon which I enjoyed. Portions were very large! Pricing was very reasonable. The only downside is that it was the middle of summer and it was not too hot outside like maybe 25 degrees but it was very hot in the restaurant. They did have fans to cool our area but it was still too warm for comfort. Not sure if we were unlucky and just coincidentally encountered broken air conditioning or something because it's not my first time at this location and I don't remember ever feeling as warm as I did today. Also at my table, there was a bit of difficulty making sure our waters were topped up but understandable because of our party size and we did start later than we had originally planned for. I would suggest maybe having carafes of water close by so that guests of a larger party size can serve themselves. Would definitely consider holding another large party event here because of the good value, service, location and decent food.

There was lipstick on my water glass, and it was dirty We waited about 40 minutes to get what they said were their most popular dishes, but they arrived almost cold or barely warm. The portions were clearly not worth the money and the taste was pretty average especially for that price and given how long we waited. In the end, the waiter gave us a discount on those dishes, But in any case, the atmosphere, the food, and the long wait made this experience very mixed, so I don’t see any point in coming back or recommending this place to anyone. But the dirty glass at the end made the whole experience ridiculous!

If I could give zero star on service, I would because my experience here was absolutely terrible and I will never come back and I will never advise anyone to eat here. My friends and I (6 adults) along with 4 kids came for dinner. We were seated towards the back of the restaurant but because we had a stroller, it wasn’t the best seating. We’ve asked to be seated 3 tables down because there was more space and the hostess made it seem like we’re asking way too much and probably inconvenienced her. We eventually were seated 3 tables down (perfect) but it was HOT (29 degrees). We were told that the A/C is broken and that they don’t have a solution for us. About 15 minutes later our waiter came to help us and this is when it went downhill. We’ve asked for water for the table and when it came, he slammed down all the cups on the table and left. He comes back asking if we’re ready to order so we did but the whole entire time, he was not pleasant, he looked frustrated and angry. My friends and I thought maybe he’s been having a hard day and with the AC not working, he’s probably feeling hot and upset (totally understandable). He was also limping so we thought maybe he’s in pain and he’s just toughing it out at work ( no problem, I understand why that would contribute to the behaviour). Because we were seated at the back of the restaurant , we thought maybe we ask for everything we needed at once so he doesn’t have to keep walking back in pain. This whole time we sympathized with him but the few interaction we would have with him, he would literally mouth something under his breath or he would turn around and just look at the roof and take a deep breath and “sigh” before walking away. Once this happened, I started to not be impressed by his professionalism and considered it to be extremely rude. Toward the end of our meals, our kids wanted their dessert because it came with the meal. 1/2 boys was ready so I asked for a sundae, he responded and said “ only 1 right now? And looked at the other boy. I said yes because the other boy was still eating his dinner. Once the second boy was ready and we asked for his sundae, our waiter chuckled and said so another sundae but in a negative tone, turned around and took another deep breath and sighed as if we’re making his life a living hell. At this point, you’re just being completely unprofessional and very disrespectful. I can sympathize with you to a certain degree but our waiter crossed the line . This behaviour has left a nasty taste in my mouth and I will never be back. The food wasn’t good at all. I had a burger and the meat was dry, presentation looked boring, the bun was stale and hard. I ordered pasta for my son and it looked and tasted like someone poured canned sauce on pasta. My wife ordered a Mexican bowl and it did not taste good at all. Overall experience was a negative for me. Do better Pickle Barrel.

This place is on life support just from the overflow of people trying to eat at Cheesecake factory. We got there and signed onto the waitlist, but even after getting the text that our table was ready, once we arrived we had to wait 10 more minutes. Food was ok. I got the fish and chips, which was a little soggy, and not really good. My friends got the chicken parmesan, which was too dry. Not worth the price. Our server was friendly, but the place is very understaffed. Food takes a while to come out, and no one came to refill our waters or check in on things. Decor and atmosphere are not bad, but there was no AC. It's hard to hear the people sitting at my table.
