May 5th (yes, cinqo de mayo) happens to be my birthday so made a reservation nearly a week in advance to celebrate at a new-to-us resto.
Now, I’m not fussy or starved for special attention, but it was clear that given the day, their focus was on quick table turnover. It was noted in our reservation that we’d be there to celebrate a birthday, so surprised to find our table tucked far in a corner beside/behind the arcade machines. Likely the least vibrant table in the entire restaurant despite several empty tables. Room was at maybe half capacity.
Our server “Pedro” made the experience feel as special as a McDonald’s drive-thru. Came to take our order, gave him the drinks and he was already 5-steps away while finishing our sentence. This was the general theme. In and out. Like if he stood there longer than a second he’d be cursed.
Decidedly skipped dessert, came and left in 30 minutes. The tableside guac was good and the tacos were decent (giving it the 2nd star). Funny, I was thinking “this fish taco could use some sauce” however there was none to be found. It wasn’t until we were walking out that we noticed every other table had a selection of sauces for their tacos.
Ultimately, the lack of care turned us off, making it feel like a below-average night out, not a birthday celebration.
Could’ve gone to GUS tacos for takeout and had a warmer reception tbh.

Tummy hurt after eating there. Not sure if it was the popcorn shrimp that was a lot of just breaded nothingness. Or the birria broth that was basically water. The coconut marg was yum and the service was good given it was pretty busy. I wouldn’t eat there again though.

I'm sorry to say it but this place was pretty bad. We walked in, the service was nice, but we couldn't even hear eachother, or the server, over the loud latin house music they have playing. We sit down and order, and I get this pork burrito. Tell me why when it came out it looked more grey than my dead grandma. I eat it plain it tastes bland. I try dunking it in their red sauce to see what that's about and it ends up tasting like medicine. Burrito was served with a stingy handful of what looked and tasted like McCain fries. I was gonna give this place a better review because I'm not trying to shit on anyone who's trying to make a living and the arcade machines they had were a nice touch, but its 2 am, I cant sleep because I have the worst stomachache and I think it's because of that damn burrito.

The decor here is really nice, the music is great, and the service was wonderful. The margarita's were good and they have some great specials.
Unfortunately the food is not worth it. I had the diablo shrimp tacos, and the flour tortilla was soggy and falling apart. The shrimp tasted good but the rest of the taco was just bland. The rest of the group was also not very happy with their food.
Also if you have a shellfish allergy, they can't guarantee that there isn't cross contamination- with anything. Thankfully my friend's allergy wasn't that bad, but for anyone who has a lethal allergy- I'd be weary.

To be at the same restaurant twice in one day, I think that is a mark of good service and good food.
If you search for great tacos and margaritas among other Mexican cuisine, then this place is for you. Out of the things I tried there, I would definitely recommend their taco salad bowl; not only is it delicious, but the way they serve it is absolutely Instagram-worthy. Also, if you are craving a cocktail to lighten the mood, try their mango or lime margarita—you will not regret it!
Service was fast both times, and they were able to arrange a table for 14 people on a Saturday night in under 10 minutes, which was impressive and positively reflects on my overall view of the restaurant.
