  Good vibes and great staff but underwhelming food. Food is so mediocre and extremely salty. Mexican spices, if any, were overpowered with salt. The tortillas they served on the side of the shrimp dish couldn’t hold any filling. They had 2 beers available out of their entire beer menu on a Saturday night. There was no remorse for that either, they’re just like yeah you’ve got 2 choices. Our final bill for a handful of drinks, 3 bland mains, and a side of chips was pushing $200. This place really only works during happy hour. The regular prices just aren’t worth it in a city with some of the best food in the country. Highly recommend venturing outside of the union station area for good Mexican food

  I’ve been wanting to come here for SO long and Añejo didn’t disappoint. We were looking for a seat inside or out and the host snagged us a spot on the patio extremely promptly! Our server Milan was extraordinary, and all the staff that dropped off drinks or food at our table were extremely welcoming. The food definitely lived up to the hype as well — we got a variety of tacos (all were REALLY good but the fish taco was both of our favourite) and the table-side guac, which everyone should definitely order. Margs were phenomenal as well, with the guava being my one seed.

  I honestly don’t usually write Google reviews, but Eric absolutely deserves one! My best friend and I had such a great time at Añejo, and he was a huge part of the experience. From the moment we sat down, he had the best energy so funny, sweet, welcoming, and extremely attentive. His customer service was amazing and he genuinely went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and having a good time. You can tell he actually cares about the people he’s serving, and that makes such a difference. We left talking about how great our experience was because of him. Definitely coming back again and hopefully Eric is our waiter! 10/10 service. 🤍

  Such a gorgeous patio! Can’t believe it took me this long to get to this place on my list The massive selection of tequila alone would make me a regular and our server did a splendid job walking us through it and what pairs well with our courses. She put me on to upgrading my drink to a reposado marg, loved it! Sharing our desserts was a great idea. Our server checked in on us at a comfortable rate and always knew what she was talking about. I had to cancel my vacation due to a disorienting split in my family that has been taking up so much of my life lately. This experience was one of a kind and just what I needed! I will definitely be coming back. Thank you Natalie!

  We (2) stopped at Añejo for a no fuss late lunch given we are familiar with the King st location, but that was not the case… My boyfriend ordered 4 tacos and I got the shrimp salad which took 1h to arrive. After a long wait, I was quite hungry and disappointed when a chicken dish arrived for me instead. The server was apologetic and indicated that the shrimp salad would still be made. Unsure of how restaurant decisions are made, but the server later apologized and indicated that our meal would be covered by the restaurant. Later, the manager came by to make sure we were satisfied and also indicated that the meal would be covered. He even suggested would order dessert! While a nice gesture, we honestly, just wanted to eat and go. As we finished the manager came by with the bill and indicated that due to the error, the tacos would be the happy hour price and the salad would be discounted… Not only did the server indicate the meal would be comped, but he did too! The server quickly realized the manager’s actions, and emphasized we do not pay. While our server was incredibly kind and tried her best, this lunch was a terrible experience. I feel like it’s busy due to its location rather than food or service.
