  Our waitress Heather, was so accommodating and just a pleasure. Our food was prompt, hot and of course delicious.

  Decided to eat in on a Saturday at 6pm. Waited over an hour for food with a grumpy 4 year old! Seems like they queue delivery and pickup orders in the same queue as dine in. You would think they'd prioritize dine in orders???

  I am extremely disappointed with my repeated experiences at this Swiss Chalet location. Every time I visit, I feel a clear difference in how I’m treated compared to others. There is a consistent lack of attentiveness, with staff taking an unusually long time to serve, and it leaves me questioning whether bias is at play. I’ve been to many Swiss Chalet locations across Ontario, and having lived in Toronto my entire life, and as an executive in the corporate world, I know what standard service should look like. The treatment I’ve experienced at this location feels unacceptable and deeply concerning. Is this racism at its finest? This isn’t just about slow service. It’s about respect, professionalism, and equal treatment for all customers. I expect better. If there are underlying issues with staffing, training, or inclusivity, they need to be addressed immediately. A diverse and well-trained team should be the standard, not the exception. I am urging management to take this seriously!! Review your customer service practices, invest in proper staff training, and ensure that every guest is treated with fairness and dignity. If this pattern continues, I will escalate this matter directly to corporate leadership at Recipe Unlimited Corporation who I have contacts with. Get this sorted!! Because customers notice, and it matters.

  We had a really disappointing experience at Swiss Chalet in Tillsonburg both times we went. We came in expecting a simple family meal, but the service was frustrating from start to finish. We had a long wait, were one of the last tables to be checked on, and even getting our bill took much longer than it should have. We were the last few tables left. People that came in after us were served before us, noticeably were getting checked on more than us. I don’t want to assume but the only thing I can think of is racism, our family is very polite and couldn’t quite understand why we were treated differently. What really didn’t sit right was the lack of basic service. No one offered dessert for the kids even though it was part of their meals, we had to ask for takeout containers ourselves, and even then no bag was provided. It felt like we were constantly having to chase things instead of being taken care of. On top of that, the bill came to $70 for 2 adults and 2 kids (no drinks), and it wasn’t clearly explained. We were under the impression there was a kids-eat-free option, it was a Wednesday so that promo was valid but everything seemed to be charged at full price without clarification and excuses about a 2 can dine meal was a better option for our bill even though we didn’t choose the 2 can dine meal. The waitress also took back the receipt that I showed her so I can’t even post a picture. Nothing adds up, It seemed no discounts were put, we were tired and just didn’t want to argue. Overall, it left us feeling overlooked and uncomfortable. We’re not the type to complain, but this experience didn’t reflect the level of service we expected. Hoping management takes this feedback seriously and improves both customer service and communication. As well as staffing levels.
