  Unfortunately, my experience with the MR.SUB location at 2650 Lawrence Ave E, near Midland, has been consistently disappointing. About two years ago, we stopped going to this location because the person working there at the time was extremely rude and made us feel uncomfortable even asking for something. At times, the service also seemed careless and inconsistent. We eventually decided it was simply not worth the unpleasant experience. Instead, we started going to the MR.SUB at 45 Milner Ave, where we have had a completely different experience over the years. The staff there has always been friendly, accommodating, and pleasant, and the portions are reasonable. That location actually makes you want to come back. Recently, because the Lawrence/Midland location is much closer to our home, we decided to give it another chance, hoping the staff had changed. Unfortunately, although the staff has changed, the experience has not improved. The person serving us was extremely rude and seemed very unwelcoming. The portions were also surprisingly small. The sandwich was prepared with such a minimal amount of ingredients that even a very basic Subway sandwich seemed considerably larger by comparison. What is most disappointing is that this is not an isolated experience from years ago. We gave this location another chance and unfortunately encountered the same type of poor customer service again. A customer should not feel uncomfortable asking for a reasonable amount of ingredients or feel like they are bothering the person serving them. Good customer service and reasonable portions are basic expectations. I strongly recommend going to the 45 Milner Ave location instead if you have the option. Unfortunately, after these experiences, I will not be returning to Mr Sub and at this point I would rather take my business elsewhere.

  This is about the lady who worked last night: Staff was visibly rude when asked a standard question about menu options.

  Been going since 2011 overall a good experience. Unfortunately tonight was different. At around 9:35pm I walked in to get a tuna sandwich, I noticed that the individual working at the front didn’t change his gloves after he made another sandwich. I have dietary restrictions and would like to avoid cross-contamination. I asked him nicely if he had changed his gloves to that he angrily replied “its closing time man” and frustratedly went to change his gloves. I could have allergies. I’m pretty sure I have the right to ask this. This is not the right attitude to have especially when working in customer service. I understand if you want to close up and go home, just tell me that I can’t get a sandwich and I’ll leave.

  I must be very lucky to have not encountered the 'staff' other reviewers speak of, or they're not working anymore. Been to this location 3 times in the last year, & each visit is pleasant. Subs made to order with zero issues, bread fresh & toppings generous. Super Assorted & Roast Beef subs heated upon request, & Pizza sub heated automatically. Service was friendly even though store was empty. Granted, my 3 visits all occurred about 45 minutes before closing.
