5 stars isn't enough stars to give Mary and her Crew at this Subway location. Last month I walked in because I was in the area and looking for a Subway who was willing to help me out. I was looking to set up a public school lunch order for a school in Petrolia. (Yes, there is a Subway in Petrolia but they were very difficult to get an answer out of and we didn't feel comfortable giving them such a big order for a school lunch.)
Within a couple of minutes of talking with Mary I new she was the right person for the job. She new what to do, how to organize it and was willing to talk to me whenever I had a question. Even giving me her personal cell number so I could reach her at any time. She pulled off a 185 subs order in a timely manner, well labeled with each students name and organized in boxes by class. Making the process for the parent volunteers very easy to deliver to each class. The feed back from the students and staff was awesome. Every single sub was made to profection every order was correct and the kids loved having Subway again.

I’ve now had multiple negative experiences at this Subway location. Unfortunately This is my local Subway, and I go there about three times a week, so this is based on repeated visits, not just one bad day. it seems to be a pattern, not just a one-off situation.
The staff on my most recent visit were very rude and argumentative, and there was no greeting, basic customer service or even a simple smile when I walked in. As the worker was making my sub I had politely asked for extra pickles and I was told they are only allowed to put a very limited amount of veggies on subs instructions given by the manger. the example she gave was only 3 pickles on a six-inch. I even offered to pay extra and was told they still couldn’t add more. I’ve been to many Subway locations and have never heard of this . On top of that, the amount of sauce put on my sub felt excessive and careless, which made the experience even more frustrating.
I’ve also had previous interactions with the owner that were similarly rude and unprofessional, so this isn’t the first time I’ve dealt with poor attitude here. On one occasion, I ordered a 6-inch sub of the day and was never asked if I wanted to make it a combo I was just checked out. When I questioned the price, the owner came out and became very defensive, rude, and unprofessional, claiming I had been asked and declined a combo, which wasn’t true. What should have been around $7.99 for a 6-inch combo ended up costing me almost $10 for just the sub, That interaction felt extremely dishonest and frustrating.
Before leaving today , I was told that if I didn’t like their rules, I was welcome to go to another Subway which I will gladly be doing. I’ve never had issues at any other location but after repeated experiences like this, I won’t be returning here .

I love to have my breakfast from here and marry, manager of this place, she is best. She always remembers about the kind of sandwich i like and also give me suggestions to try new dressings and toppings . That makes it Sarnia’s best subway.

This was by far the best experience I’ve had at any subway but especially in Sarnia. Ms. Mary was so kind, she told us about the new sauce they had and let us try it on a cucumber slice. The veggies were so full and fresh and all the ladies were smiling and laughing it was such a great experience. Plus the sandwiches were delicious! I’ll definitely be back! Only 4 star for atmosphere because the owner didn’t have the wireless chargers disconnected for the high top tables by the windows!
