Love this location. Our server, Katie was absolutely amazing tonight! Probably the best server we’ve had. She gave incredibly fast service, proactively offered to refill drinks/apps, timed our mains well so not everything was crowding the table, acknowledged our toddler… Just very friendly and efficient and we had a great night :)

We went and got lunch here and food wasn't really great. We got the veal parmigiana (5\10)and the lasagna (6\10). The pasta that came with the veal was very light and watery. Didn't have much flavor. Veal was good. The lasagna was also okay. It had a strong tomato flavor. The Ceasar salad was good. The garlic bread was good too and potato soup was decent too. Overall food wasn't the best and probably won't return.

Went here earlier this week with my family , the waitress was completely miserable and rushy ( white lady ) . The Chinese lady at the back cash register also had a miserable look in her face . The white guy sitting in the back conner by the bar on his lap top also looked miserable , I had forks with nasty food all over them . We had kids and it was very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience for my kids and us as parents . We went around 1 pm and 3 pm not very many people in the restaurant, the server wouldn't even let us sit where we wanted to and was completely miserable about it . Been here 100 times before with way better service from different servers, the food was good but not the best . Still gave the server a nice tip but fortunately we won't be going back to this dirty miserable restraunt it was a very rushed unpleasant restraunt to bring my family and if you can't handle the heat stay out of the kitchen/ restraunt . This dirty restraunt has gone way down over the past little while and nice way to spread germs and disease giving family's and kids unwashed cutlery to eat with . I would definitely not recommend this restraunt at this pickering location.

After my initial review of this establishment, the District Manager personally reached out to our group to apologize for our experience and even offered us a discount on a future visit as a gesture of goodwill. Based on that conversation, I decided to remove my original review and give this restaurant a second chance, believing that the issues we experienced were an isolated incident. Unfortunately, our return visit proved to be even more disappointing. After watching a movie, my family arrived at approximately 9:00 p.m. We stood at the front entrance waiting to be seated. We were the only guests waiting, yet for the next 15 minutes, at least five different servers walked past us without acknowledging us, greeting us, or making any attempt to seat us. We were completely ignored. After waiting long enough, I finally walked over to the bar and informed one of the servers that we had been standing at the entrance for over 15 minutes without anyone assisting us. Rather than apologizing or showing any concern, she said nothing. Instead, she walked over to the other servers, and they gathered together in a huddle while we continued to stand there waiting. At that point, it became clear that customer service simply is not a priority at this restaurant. It’s incredibly frustrating and disrespectful to be treated as though your presence doesn’t matter, especially after giving the restaurant another opportunity based on management’s promise to do better. We left feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and completely let down. Any confidence we had regained after speaking with the District Manager has now been lost. A sincere apology means very little if the same problems continue to happen. This was our second chance—and it will be our last. We will not be returning, nor can we recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a place that values its customers. There are plenty of restaurants that appreciate their guests and understand the importance of basic hospitality. Sadly, this is not one of them.

This evening, after an extremely long long day of work and running my son around all over we had chose to call Eastside Mario’s in Pickering as my son felt like a pasta dish. He had three hours rigours practice and I too was HANGRY We searched online for the best pasta deals as everyone knows pasta is over priced. I suggest Eastsides as we were just down the street and the pasta is pretty good. As I was driving my son looked up the menu and obviously for deals. The idea was to take out and bring it home as it was super late and we just wanted to get home My son came across an amazing deal as one bowl wasn’t going to fill him. (Photo attached) buy one and get two. So I told him to call and place the order to go. East side the restaurant told us to call back the number and press 1 for the take out. So my son did. As he requested the deal the women told us we have to walk in and order. So already the back and forth long day etc etc. I parked up sent my son in and he comes out stating that this was an old dine in deal that the no longer offer. I obviously was disappointed, and told him no that’s not right it’s on the website and the woman told us we just had to go in to order as it was not one you can do online or through the call centre. I never understood the difference however, hungry annoyed already I took my son’s meal back in and just walked up to the first to staff members I saw behind the desk and I was pretty demanding. Which on my part was not appropriate, but in that moment I was very frustrated. I assume she was a Manager of some sort ERICA. She did not let my abrupt presence sway her kindness. She heard me out and then said it is a dine in option and that the call centre some times can get things wrong but it was no problem she would get me the second bowl of pasta no issue. She also brought out a extra loaf of bread for the trouble. I instantly apologized for my attitude as I could have myself approached in a better manner. I asked Erica if I could leave her a review because she did absolutely everything right in a service industry She de-escalated heard me out and didn’t challenge my concern. The food was great as well Erica you were wonderful and Eastsides is very lucky to have you I would highly recommend Eastsides at the Pickering Town Centre 1355 Kingston Toad 🙏🏽
