Staff standing around talking to one another while customers wait.
Bread was stale.
Soup was cold.
Pizza too much sauce And undercooked.
Waited for waitress many times.
Waitress not at all attentive and worst part, she’s training another waitress at the same time!
I’ve been to East Side Mario’s on Ogilvie and the best experience there. Scott should be the trainer for all your locations.
I would never recommend Innes Rd location to anyone!
The owner of this location is ruining the reputation of East Side Mario’s.
I’ve noticed the previous comments about the same issues with the “owner” just responding with the exact same response to customers, obviously the owner doesn’t care if these same issues are still happening after a year!!!
You have so much competition around you that you think you would care about your business!

My husband ordered a lunch portion of pasta. When it arrived, it was super small. Our two children had more food. He could've order off the kid's menu and gotten more food. This was a rip off and not worth what we paid for it. I have ordered lunch portions at other restaurants and they were more substantial. When it was brought to the manager Rai's attention she was unapologetic and only said the portions are measured at 5 oz. She then offered the dinner portion but we weren't given any discount for our inconvenience. We won't return to this location.
Let me tell you. My adult daughter and I had a fabulous dinner out! The moment we walked in we were greeted by a young male worker who so kindly brought us to the perfect booth after I asked him if he could seat us in a low traffic area. Our server, Noundia, greeted us. She was super friendly and very kind. She always made sure we had everything that we needed. Just a super experience, Thank You!

Food was acceptable but overall the experience was disappointing due to poor and unprofessional service from our server Sky, which needs management attention. We had to ask twice for garlic bread, and when it was finally brought it was served in a brown paper bag instead of a plate, which is not appropriate for dine-in service. When we ordered a pizza box because we were too full, Sky made an unnecessary and judgmental comment implying we could not take the garlic bread home, even though we clearly understand buffet rules and had no intention of doing so, which made the interaction uncomfortable. Throughout the meal, service was inconsistent and inattentive — plates were not cleared at any point, not even from the first course, and we had to involve two different staff members just to get basic assistance as our server was often unavailable. At one point, we waited without acknowledgment while she stood at the computer ignoring attempts to get her attention. There was also poor communication regarding dessert, where we were charged $2.99 for a very small Oreo cheesecake portion without clear explanation at the time, and when we asked, the response felt dismissive rather than helpful. Overall, the experience reflected a lack of basic hospitality standards such as attentiveness, table maintenance, clear communication, and respectful interaction. We still left a tip, but this level of service needs serious management review and staff training improvement.

My review is specifically about Nate, the Host. Awesome young fellow greeted us quickly, excused himself to wipe down the table and booth that we requested. Pleasant. Smiling. Easily the best host we have had in years. We eat out in Orleans and Ottawa frequently and if I were a restauranteur, I would convince him to come work for me! While I ate, I watched him welcome families, wash down tables, seat folks and wish them a great meal. When he had no families entering, he organized the menus and entrance. Never stopped! Thanks, Nate for making our evening. Hard worker.
