Very disappointing experience yesterday evening on May 18, 2026. From the moment we sat down, the host/server seemed very displeased with us for reasons we still do not understand. We ordered 4 all-you-can-eat pasta meals. Each time she brought us something She just dropped it and left and each time with said thank you to her… throughout the entire evening, not once did she smile or make us feel welcome. What made it even more upsetting was seeing how friendly, attentive, and cheerful she was toward the table beside us while we were treated completely differently. Our kids were genuinely upset and surprised to witness this kind of behavior. During the entire meal, she never once asked if we needed beverage refills, nor did she clear our table. The lack of basic hospitality and customer service was extremely noticeable. Despite the poor service, we still left a generous tip because we wanted to show kindness and class rather than respond negatively. I normally do not write reviews like this, but this experience left us so disappointed that I felt it needed to be mentioned. in a positive note, The “person” who greeted us in was super nice, friendly and welcoming so 5 STARS to HER. We truly hope management addresses this issue so no other family has to feel this unwelcome.

We had an amazing experience at East Side Mario's last night. Our server, Delaney went above and beyond to make mothers day special for my family. It was incredibly busy but she was very attentive and made the night fun and positive. The restaurant also gave out gifts and coupons to mothers which only made the experience that much better. The food was excellent and we will definitely be back.

Stopped in here for dinner on our way through town on a weekend trip. Must have came at a night when they had a big event going on as there was about a 20 minute wait for a table but no big deal It's been a long time since I've been here. Their menus definitely changed, way more items that are pretty much all pasta dishes now I went for something that did not have so much cheese on it which was the salmon with the. Bowtie pasta and roasted vegetables, food tasted great. No issues there. Salmon was cooked perfect, course the endless wedding soup is always good You can tell the waitress was busy because she would come over to ask something and you only had a few seconds to give her an answer but the second, you finished speaking your response She was pretty much gone again Only bad part is I didn't get my Oreo cheesecake at the end of my meal which on the menu I was supposed to get as part of the package dinner

I write this with a heavy heart. East side Mario’s has been my favourite and go to restaurant since the 90’s. I’ve seen some changes over the years primarily portions getting smaller but it was always worth it. The salad and the bread. Omg. I dream about it. However last night we went to the Orillia site, we were a party of four arrived around 1830. We asked for a specific server however they were sending her home as they said it wasn’t busy enough. We were still seated in her area fairly quickly. That’s where the positive stops. We waited a good ten minutes before any server even got to us to take our drink order. When the server finally arrived we told her that we usually don’t even touch our meals, we fill up on bread and salad and take the meal home. She laughed and said of course I’ll keep the bread and salad coming Well she didn’t. Drinks were another 10 minutes. I didn’t get my garden salad until about 5 minutes after my entree arrived. Slow slow slow…. Others that came in after us were served much quicker. Our orders were not complicated, two pops and two draft beers 2x cheese Capaletti and two chicken capalettis We found a hair in the bowl of tomato soup, identified this to the server and she said oh.. I’ll let the kitchen know…that’s it. . The salads , when arrived had very little dressing , were dry, and were the small refill size … we had to continually ask for bread and salad to any staff that walked Also received a little passive aggressive response from the women who brought 1/2 of the food order when we mentioned we hadn’t even received our garden salads or any extra bread. “”I’ll get to it when I can “ was her response, Total bread for four people was 4 loafs. I usually have four myself! Pasta was dry and warm not hot. My husband asked for a bowl of sauce after trying his meal. Meals did not arrive together or timely with each other. It was an absolute let down. It was our sons g/f’s first time ever at ESM and we were so excited for her to experience and fall in love with the restaurant. A table across from us ordered several different draft beers and when the server got to the table she couldn’t tell what was what so they had to guess…. I doubt I’ll go back to the Orillia site. I’m hopefull other sites are still putting out the great food and service that I expect from ESM. The bill came to $150. 00. Plus tip. 💯 not worth it. The choice to send servers home to save a few bucks , the poor quality, and lack of attention to presentation has very likely lost a loyal family of customers for good 😢. Sadly I no longer recommend this restaurant.

My wife & I went to East Mario's while staying in Orilla. We were greeted by a very friendly and polite waitress when we entered and were seated right away. It was about 4 in the afternoon. She gave us our menu's and took our drink order. She returned with our drinks within 5 minutes. She told us she would be back in few minutes to allow us to enjoy our drinks and review the menu no pressure what so ever. Nice !!! She returned about 10 minutes later and took our order and about 20 minutes later returned with our appetizers, the 2 bowls of soup we ordered and the garlic bread. We had the Potato Bacon & the Italian Wedding soup both perfectly heated and absolutely tasty. She returned about 15 minutes later with our entrees the Veal Parmisean and the Salmon again both prepared to perfection warm and tasty. Qhen we had finished She took our desert order. The whole time she served us she was courteous, polite and always had a smile on her face. It my absolute pleasure to pay the bill. I wish I remembered her name so I could Thank her properly and give her the recognition she deserves. We were there on Saturday April 25th and next time we go to Orilla East Side Mario's will be our first stop for dinner.
