I had dinner at Swiss Chalet (3253 Bayview Ave) with my wife and daughter. The restaurant has a lovely, cozy atmosphere and feels much cleaner than my previous visit. I had only been there for lunch before, but the dinner experience is noticeably more enjoyable.
This time, our meal was truly outstanding — mainly thanks to our wonderful waiter, Denny. His kindness and excellent service made the entire evening fantastic.

Visited this Swiss Chalet for lunch with my coworker two days ago and had a genuinely great experience.
From the moment we walked in, the staff were very professional, attentive, and welcoming. The service was smooth and efficient throughout the entire visit, and everyone seemed well organized and experienced.
The food was also excellent. Fresh, hot, and served surprisingly quickly considering the lunch rush. Everything tasted exactly the way it should, and the overall atmosphere made for a very comfortable and enjoyable lunch break.
It’s always nice to come across a location where both the food and customer service are consistently strong. Definitely one of the better Swiss Chalet experiences I’ve had, and I would gladly return again.

This is one of the worst restaurants in our area. This is our second visit, and once again the experience has been disappointing. Despite there being very few staff actively serving, we were told there would be a 10-minute wait for a table. During our last visit, we encountered the same issue—it took over 30 minutes just for someone to take our order. Unfortunately, the service has been consistently slow and poorly managed.

Very disappointing and concerning experience. I got sick after eating from this place and started developing cold-like symptoms shortly after. I hadn’t eaten anything else, which made the timing extremely suspicious and worrying. This immediately made me question the freshness of the ingredients, food handling, and overall cleanliness of this establishment.
When you order food, the absolute minimum expectation is that it’s safe to eat. Getting sick after a meal is completely unacceptable. It makes me wonder how the food is being stored, prepared, and handled behind the scenes. Proper hygiene and food safety should never be overlooked, yet this experience makes it seem like those basics are not being taken seriously.
This wasn’t just disappointing — it was frustrating and concerning. No customer should have to worry about getting sick from a meal they paid for. I trusted this place, and that trust was completely broken. Experiences like this make it very difficult to consider ever ordering again.
Also It wasn’t just me that got sick all ten of us that came got sick.
I strongly urge management to review their food safety standards, staff hygiene, ingredient freshness, and overall cleanliness before more customers end up having the same experience. Until then, I would personally recommend others to be cautious. I definitely will not be returning.
